I am not arguing that the guilty should bear responsibility BUT I am willing to bet that the teacher's union (NEA or AFT probably) had a lot to do with the retention and defense of remaining on the job. After all, there is a famous quote attributed to Albert Shanker, the late president of the AFT; "When school children start paying union dues, that 's when I'll start representing the interests of school children."
The convicted child molester ended up molesting a boy, school found out, TRANSFERRED him to another school knowing what he did. While there he molested 2 more boys. He was finally convicted and I never received an apology from anyone in the district after I public ally told my story on numerous occasions. They do not care.

It is an outrageous case...Administrators were only interested in covering up...
There have been cases involving lesbian teachers in LA County...
An assistant principal was accused of having sex with a female student...That female student put up a YOUTUBE video of her talking to that administrator...She did that several years after she graduated from high school...That administrator admitted to the crime...She is serving time in prison...
A teacher, at an all-girls Catholic high school, was arrested for having sex with one of her students...She was sentenced to 16 months in prison...
