President Trump's reelection campaign isn't shying away from hitting Joe Biden over his handling of allegations that he sexually assaulted and harassed a former Senate aide in 1993.
The incumbent's campaign team, in particular, seized on accusations of hypocrisy over how the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee and other prominent members of the party supported the women who made sexual misconduct claims against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and their reaction to Biden's accuser, Tara Reade.
The double standard exhibited by Biden, prominent liberal womens groups, and Democrat elected officials some of whom want to be Bidens running mate is glaring and cannot be allowed to stand," Trump campaign spokeswoman Erin Perrine wrote in a statement.
Perrine added, "There will be a great temptation among Bidens supporters to take his lackluster interview performance and declare case closed and move on. We do not know what, if anything, was done to Tara Reade, but there cannot be one set of rules for Joe Biden and another set for everyone else.

Notice how it is now called “sexual assault”?
I’m pretty sure in many (most?) jurisdictions this is called rape.
In prior elections, that add would leave a major skid mark.
Has a softer, gentler tone, does it not?
If you sexually molest anyone to the point of penetration, which is what is alleged, then that is definitely rape. No other word accurately describes what Biden is accused of here and everyone should start using that descriptor.
That said, I think the media has an obligation to do investigative reporting. They should look into the sexual assault allegations and do everything possible to provide us as much factual information as possible. In this area, the media and Democrats (but I repeat myself) are quite hypocritical. They have not treated this the same way as the Kavanaugh allegations, and there was apparently far less corroborating evidence in that case than this one.
Sexual harassment claims are a very tough area of the law in my opinion. It often comes down to he said, she said. Even if Tara Reade filed an accusation in the 1990s, it still doesn't prove the assault occurred. Regardless, it's too late for criminal charges. This is why the media should attempt to uncover as much information as possible so that voters can make truly informed decisions when we decide who we want to lead the country.
Great ad...Biden mauling Sen.Coons child while the fool stood by and grinned..All the Democrat Women busted on hypocrisy...Biden is getting chewed up day after day on his behavior...Twitter has multiple #DropOutBiden Trends...Hopefully the old toucher stays in the race...Landslide for Trump at this rate...
no the legal definitions can be different
varying degrees of sexual assault
I love the corner where it says HIDEN. Thise guys are clever.
“I love the corner where it says HIDEN. Thise guys are clever.”
They should not ignore these allegations, but in the long run, they have to put a lot more attention on Biden’s statement about “China is not competition for us” while at the same time the Chinese appear to given his son a sweetheart deal because his daddy was Veep. Link Biden with with the Chinese. That will influence more voters than this.
Trump’s team either (1) Thinks Biden is the nominee, regardless or (2) Thinks whoever the D’s replace him with is a weaker candidate.
Yawn... waste of money air this stuff in the Fall.
Thanks for posting
But what would anyone expect from a political party that has championed every evil from slavery and the ku klux klan to voter fraud, illegal immigration, coup d'état, sexual perversion, abortion, and infanticide?
Truth for its own sake? Certainly not!
