Heh, I have to admit, the whole scene was hilarious where Khrushchev is confiding to General Zhukov about what must be done to Stalin, and Zhukov indignantly says to him “I will have to report this to the authorities!” and when Khrushchev turns white, Zhukov roars with laughter “You should have seen your face!”

What an incredibly twisted society. In Solzhenitzyn’s “The Gulag Archipelago” he talks about how when Stalin died, many of the same people he persecuted, tortured, and unjustly send there wept.

Maybe its the “magic” of Hollywood but it looked like many scenes were shot(no pun intended)in Russia.
I read his “Archipelago Gulag” and “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich”in high school and couldn’t understand it. Like the Jews of Europe in the camps crying over the death of Hitler.
I latter came to realize they thought Stalin, THEIR Stalin couldn’t do this to them. The power of propaganda when the state holds all venues of information!
