Ultimately, that approach wasn't taken. The FDA issued an emergency authorization for hospitalized covid-19 patients who cannot participate in a clinical trial.
Bull. All the other countries are using it. Corona is sort of like strep. Lots of different stuff will kill it. Hydroxy too. But big pharma doesn’t want that answer. It won’t make them any money.
This is the one that has been safely used for decades, right?
I read the first two “studies”. They were both DESIGNED to have HCL fail.
So yes, if you give a patient on the verge of death HCL then it is associated with death.

Hydroxychloroquine was approved for medical use in the United States in 1955. It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system. This from Wikipedia

Man, I hate the title. Instead of “promoted” why not tell the truth: “On the basis of information provided by doctors treating COVID-19 patients in the field, President Trump announced their findings and suggests...” He “promoted” it based upon the advice given to him by doctors. This sounds like he’s selling it out of the back of a horse-drawn wagon in the Old West.
Yes, it was perfectly safe for even long term use until President Trump mentioned it. At that point the drug became very dangerous.
Hydroxychloroquine has fewer side effects than Chloroquine, which itself has a low enough risk profile that the CDC recommends that people going on vacation to certain popular tropical locations take it to reduce the risk of contracting malaria.
The leftist hate for President Trump, and their willingness to lie and mislead the public in pursuit of their goals of political power is endless.

Yep, the other word you often see in association with Trump is “He touted”. There’s also the pejorative — “Magic Bullet” being thrown about by the MSM. Just use Google or Bing and you’ll find out.
Not only will be expected to accept and comply, but we will not be allowed to complain. The media will be fully of happy stories and wonkish interviews. Taxes, slavery, and abortion will go up and they can get back to what freakish creatures can do and what they call themselves. Then about our guns....
Good personal doc tors know their patients and the risks for each patient. They should prescribe in in their own best judgment.
