Anyone who has ever had the utter displeasure of caring about an addict will know, an addict who aint gonna make it is a relapse looking for an excuse.
We have a friend who was very busy with the AA group. They have a lot of issues with their patients. Sad.
Well that's unfortunate. Tommie the Commie will want to emulate his esteemed neighbor and impose it on PA as well. Can't be too careful after all.
“Bet a lot of people are packing on the pounds, as well.”
Not us. I did my usual give up alcohol for Lent and decided to continue for a while. I am down 5 but only looking to lose 12 so it is a relatively flat slope. My Frau has lost 20. I started biking and she walks the dog most days. She is down to normal weight too. We like to cook which helps with portions and types of food. We recognize how lucky we are and are grateful everyday.
No such thing as a relapse. It just means you haven’t gotten honest with yourself and you haven’t given up a destructive obsession.
