Can’t they just be dropped by parachute?

Makes sense. The more time they’re here, the more time some stupid bleeding heart leftard org like the ACLU will get their lawyers to protect these scumbags. Just get them out.

If they drop them off in Chiapas, they might take a hint, plus it might be less expensive in the long run.

Is Mexico City a sanctuary city?

Gee, if I were a Mexican in Tijuana, and wanted a free trip to Mexico City, crossing the U.S. border would be a pretty effective method.

I always liked the idea of tramp freighter to Puerto Madero, which is, I believe, the southern most port city in Mexico.

In the hundreds of postings here in Free Republic rarely is this brought up. It’s Known As Reciprocity. We should be treating anybody illegally crossing the Mexican border into the US the way the Mexican’s do;

Any American illegally .crossing into Mexico. Before being kicked out can get a heavy fine and possible imprisonment.

It’s time we consider illegal entry by any person who is a non Mexican citizen illegally entering the United States through the US Mexican border a defacto Mexican citizen with limited Mexican constitutional rights subject to their laws while transiting. As well as any Mexican citizen entering illegally exempting those who do so legally.

According to the Mexican constitution Americans legally in Mexico get a 2nd class treatment. Besides being unable to vote one must also be a citizen to own land and Mexico is very restrictive about granting citizenship. Because of that a US citizen besides not being able to vote, and cannot have title in their name to any land property in Mexico. It’s time the US should consider making that reciprocal.

Prohibit and fully legally enforce punishment to violators offering any illegal entrant employment, voting, and land ownership privileges .In other words the incentives to those thinking of sneakimg into this country are removed and those that do better expect expulsion no job no voting no landowning ..

If they're Mexican citizens I say take them to the southernmost town in Mexico. That’ll make it harder to illegally enter the US again.

Should drop them all off in Chetumal, Mexico instead, down by Belize. That would put them 1256 miles from the US border. Mexico City is only 572 miles away.

Arizona did this years ago, and it worked well, substantially reducing the number of returners. It’s about 600 miles to Brownsville, TX, and over a thousand to El Paso and points west. A lot of them were voluntary repatriation.

572 miles is certainly a lot better than 5.72 feet!

Before this policy they were being finger printed and then driven back to the port to be dropped back in Mexico. Now according to this article we will be holding them for up to three days. So they will now be here longer.

we have been doing this for years on and off. We still see a lot of the same people come back. It is amazing how fast they get back after being flown south. I don’t know the numbers but seeing people back within a few days of being flown has always made me question whether not it was worth it to fly people back.

It certainly is, but my hope would be that if we’re consistently shipping them over 1250 miles away, it’ll be too much trouble for them to return. My view as always is I don’t care where you’re coming from: either come here legally or don’t come at all.

"Can’t they just be dropped by parachute?"

Throw out the parachute pack first, then tell them to go "Fetch."

Actually, the southern border is quite difficult to cross. For starters, if you don’t pay a cartel to escort you, you better hope they don’t find you trying to cross.
