I hope that President Trump opens his ears AND HIS HEART and hears these voices. The ONLY voices hes been hearing are those of businesses looking for cheap labor.
Skilled? Bullshiite.
Agree. The Trump presidency has so presided over an increase in third world population transfer to our homeland.
Jarad Kushner will NOT be happy.
Abolish H visas, period.
... every year at a 15 percent discount.
More like 50%
He should, but he won’t. His so-called protection of the American worker EO was one of the most spineless things he’s done as POTUS.
Explain.
The poison dream of cheap labor is killing the country and the Republican Party.
So he wouldn’t stop it for his base and these gys think they can? Dreamin... those corporations are skipping taxes paid to hire America and trump has confinued the practice. American citizens children rate far below cronyism.
Jobs in America need to go to Americans first.
JK can GTH.
It is to late. The Indians have almost completely taken over IT job recruitment in the US over the last 3 years. If you interview for an IT job in the USA now, 90% of the time you will be interviewed by an Indian. And he WILL NOT HIRE YOU if you are a naturally born American citizen. Our country is very close to having men from a foreign third world failed state running nearly all of our computer systems. It is shocking when you think of the implications of that and how fast it has happened.
“Likewise, there are about 650,000 H-1B visa foreign workers in the U.S. at any given moment.”
From my observation doing contract work in New Jersey, Philly, Washington DC, Seattle and anywhere in Texas it seems more like 5 million.
Whenever a new STEM job is posted you will see at least 200 resumes from names that sound like they are from India, China and Pakistan within a 24 hour period. Many, many are totally unqualified but they still submit their garbage resume.
The EO didn’t touch existing H-1B recipients already in the country. It only restricted future immigration requests and only for 60 days (we’re half way there).
In that case, a completely fair criticism.
Please outline how to reverse that.
I think “spineless” was the wrong word. “Toothless” would have been more accurate.
