Several Pennsylvania counties could remain under lockdown until June 5, Gov. Tom Wolf (D) indicated on Friday.
Wolf said during Friday’s press briefing that his stay-at-home order has saved lives, and he announced two weeks of sustained reductions in hospitalizations of coronavirus patients, dropping by nearly 1,000 patients from May 8 to May 21.
Forty-nine of the state’s 67 counties are currently in the state’s yellow phase of reopening. That number will increase to 57 next Friday, with the addition of Dauphin, Franklin, Huntingdon, Lebanon, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike and Schuylkill moving to the yellow phase. However, Wolf signaled that the remaining counties could remain under the strict red phase until June 5.

Wolf would keep the state on lockdown until Christmas if he could, but he issued the emergency declaration on 6 March, and the statue gives him 90 days. Day 90 is June 4th.
Lest you think “Tommy the Commie” is the only villain here, it looks like the GOP-led legislature could have ended the emergency at any time with a concurrent resolution (i.e. no Gov signature needed or veto allowed) but they are letting him ride out the full 90 days and swing in the wind for cheap political points. Of course, by the time someone points this out on the news, the primaries will be over with and the foot dragging incumbents will be safe from having to deliver on promises.
Someone give all these libtard Mayors and Governors a bigger shovel, lmao, what frakin’ idiots. The price that will be paid is going to be a refreshing slice of karma pie, gg.
They will imprison their population until mail in voting is guaranteed. Remember Pa., Wis., and Michigan are the states they need to steal back? Its no accident.
There is no enthusiasm for Joe Biden here in PA.
One city in Mass has cancelled all public events for the rest of the 2020, saying the CITY has enough money so cover it’s expenses without events. I guess the businesses can just suffer.

Well, I was in Juneau, Adams and Wood Counties, WI, today and there are restaurants open with limited service, traffic on the roads and I was told The Dells are ‘wide open’.
Saw a few masks. Closed on a property. When the title company worker and the seller (masked) saw we were not masked, they grinned big and took theirs off.
Seller said he’d been called back to work at Snap-On Tools in Milwaukee.
Title company person was telling us about her retired parents being bored and depressed and a friend of theirs has been visiting them to deal with her own feelings viv-a-vis isolation.
Local news on the talk radio station was emphasizing CDC saying no infection from surfaces/fomites.
Both uttered the magic words I’ve heard everywhere for 3 months: “This is so crazy.”

I’ve got to ask... Memorial Day weekend & Erie county. Won’t the area around I-90 be crawling with people from Buffalo, Cleveland, & Pittsburg?

Maybe I am just a black helicopter believer, but this whole pandemic seems diabolical to me. Virtually every thing democraps wanted has been achieved. No rallies, no religion, no debates and on and on. I say to myself they cant really have planned this. Then I have to tell myself that they managed to overshadow Trumps whole presidency with a scheme. Had the whole Russia BS never happened Trump would have had the economy soaring to even higher heights than he managed under a cloud. Tell me I’m crazy.
Why should we tell you that you are crazy? It is not unreasonable that the powers that be released the virus in China.

Everyone I’ve encountered, most of them strangers whose politics I don’t know, say :”Isn’t this crazy?” “This is so crazy.”
The swamp is wide & deep. I think likely they just seize any and all opportunities, but China is vindictive and driven and thinks they are the only sovereign nation on Earth.
Strange the original work on coronavirus came from US with US (Fauci-involved) funding here and in Wuhan. Lots of
co-incidences.
But: it is backfiring on them. The exposure is immense. Today, people are finally talking about the how harmful lockdowns are.
