SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- The Illinois Senate passed a bill expanding vote by mail for the 2020 election Friday.
The bill will automatically send an application for a vote-by-mail ballot to any person who has voted in the past two years, in the 2018 general election, the 2019 consolidated election or the 2020 primary election. Anyone who registered to vote after the 2020 primary will also receive an application for a vote-by-mail ballot.
The bill also declares Election Day, November 3, 2020, a state holiday.
House and Senate committees debated the bill Thursday, but Republicans raised concerns.
"We've tripled the possibility of voter fraud," Republican State Sen. Jim Oberweis said. "I realize you don't want that, I don't want that, but I'm concerned that this does not help prevent voter fraud in fact it makes it easier."
"Republicans generally speaking have been in favor of suppressing the vote, all across the nation they think it's bad for them when more people vote," Governor JB Pritzker said.
In the end, it SB1863 passed 37-19.

Provisions of the SB 1863 Voter Expansion Law:
• Vote-by-mail applications will be sent to everyone who voted in the 2018 general election, 2019 municipal election or this year’s March 17 primary. Newly registered voters since the primary or who changed their addresses will be included as well.
• Nov. 3 Election Day will be designated as a state and school holiday, allowing empty schools to be used as in-person polling places.
• Early and Election-Day curbside voting, plus the creation of super voting sites within each election jurisdiction to allow citizens to vote regardless of precinct.
• Local boards have an option to create secure ballot drop-off boxes for those who do not trust the mail.
• Traditional voting at polling places will still be allowed with citizens 16 years of age and older serving as election judges.
• A three-person panel with no more than two from one political party will review mail-in signatures and must unanimously agree on tossing a ballot.
No. All the Democrat run states that fear they have majorities among the voters for Trump are going to vote-by-mail because then the vote counters who are Democrats totally control the vote count and can produce whatever numbers they need. Think of Pennsylvania. A probably large Trump majority will be negated by Democrat vote control.

The problem arises if this happens in MI, WI, PA, or some other battleground state.
A republican congress could take action on this and set standards for federal elections. But they never did it when they had the chance. When they had complete control. This is the only way the democrats can win.

Let’s face it. . .our long ago democrat ancestors had no idea that their party would turn into this. Taking God out of the platform and chomping at the bit to kill innocent little babies .. . what can you expect? I’m glad my father, a WWII Veteran, saw the light and changed parties. I still have to chuckle about when I sent in a donation to the Republican party on his behalf and he got a card in the mail with his name on it. He just smiled.
There are likely thousands of people in Illinois who voted in 2018/2019/2020/registered-in-2020, who have since died. But, no problem: they will be voting by mail in November. Can’t deny them their rights, and all of them would have voted democrat, even if they had voted republican in the past 3 years.

Thousands of people have moved out of Illinois the past couple years. If these people were still on the voter roles, it could create a possible scenario for mail-in-ballot fraud.
