On May 26, Virginias Gov. Ralph Northam announced that wearing masks outside ones home will be mandatory effective May 29. He first hinted he might issue a masking order a week ago, likely to test the water.
A new refrain in public discourse is growing in volume by the day: Things will never be the same. The certainty with which we are assured of this pre-determined future is perplexing. Whether or not things will ever be the same is not at all clear, but that some people hope things will never be the same is certain.
To those looking to benefit politically from emergencies, COVID presents an opportunity to advance plans targeted to transform American freedom and the American way of life. Mandatory-masking policies provide a valuable foundation to weaponize the virus against American libertynow and in the future.
Demanding Freedoms Helps Ensure Them
Much of our freedom is maintained by the collective resistance of the American mood. When the Minnesota governor excluded churches from his Phase I reopening plan, Catholic and Lutheran leadership announced, through counsel, that their churches would reopen with or without the states blessing.
The governors resulting about-face was probably not due to a legal epiphany. Rather, he understood hed pushed the envelope too far. Minnesotans wouldnt put up with any further abuse of their religious freedoms.
Would Virginians, outside of the blue D.C. suburbs, be willing to accept a masking order? To take our freedom from us, people with anti-American agendas have to mobilize some initial quorum of consent from the population.
Masking Is Meant to Build an Opinion Cascade
Mandatory masking seeks to build that consent. In addition to extending the fiction that we are in an emergency sufficient to trigger the extra-constitutional authority of local and state executives, mandatory masking acts as a....

If there’s no one around, you don’t need a mask.
Baby Killer Northam: My rules do not apply to me.
You dont need a mask. Fixed it.
Masks are a form of Fascistic control. It must be resisted.
"The primary way of person-to-person corona virus transmission is via aerosols or small droplets created by breathing, sneezing or coughing. The reach of exhaled air can be effectively reduced using a face mask as shown in our video. A simple Schlieren imaging technique is applied to visualize the air flow caused by a person breathing and coughing. Using a face mask the exhaled air flow is blocked reducing effectively the risk of infection. Also nicely shown is the heat transfer from the body to the cooler ambient air. More information about the Schlieren imaging technique is given here. "
CNN was on at work, and I happened to see the screen a little bit ago. Across the bottom it read, FAUCI: WEARING MASK A SYMBOL OF WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING.
I dont know why I was a little surprised to see that written there. A symbol is exactly all it is. Its not doing anything to mitigate spread of the virus.
The original concept was so that you didn't cough or sneeze on someone. And in the same breath they say to cough or sneeze into your arm. Of course then we watched the elbow greeting...
Do they know what they're doing at all?? As far as I can see, they're using the 1918 epidemic as a model...except the targets were totally different...young adults up to seniors.
And the resurgence was caused by more boys returning home from the war.
If theres no one around, you dont need a mask.
If it seems like it’s too bad to be true, it probably isn’t.
I’m not allowed to grow my moustache past the corners of my mouth. Also required to wear a mask at work. ‘Stash is starting to look pretty good. :-) It’s an ill wind indeed that blows no good!
So, when should we expect mandatory testing for COVID-19 and the wearing of masks in public?
I guess you’ll be wearing a mask from now on. That’s ok - it makes it easier for the rest of us to identify you.
Also, I see you’ve put this same graphic on multiple threads. You’re just a spammer.
Breathing? You but that? Stay 6 feet apart and screw the mask. It’s un-American.
Noam Chomsky said in 1998:
The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrumeven encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate.
I live in Connecticut where weve had a mandatory mask order for a while now. As of May 20 retail stores re-opened two in person shopping, however there was an interesting discussion On one of the local forms about how once some of the stores open there was very little foot traffic compared to what many of these liberals thought they would be.
A few people brought up the fact that the state requires you to wear a mask and that many people are sick of it, especially as the weather gets warmer people dont want to wear them everywhere they go, so they are choosing to not patronize these local businesses once they realize they can just buy almost everything off Amazon. Of course, the liberals refused to acknowledge that could be the reason as they are out there screaming at anyone taking a walk without wearing a mask.
