"As much as Trump wants to restore order in these cities (and I understand his reasons why),maybe it’d be best if he sent troops in only if asked."

Yeah, wait until they say, "Pretty please." And then they can still blame the President when he provides the troops they've begged for.

Trump should send a brigade to Seattle and test her point.

The Insurrection Act list several reasons the President can send the military onto US soil.

Sooner or later our country will be split into two. Our election of President Trump has forestalled this divide for a period of time. But, one day it will come.
The Leftists Communists have been fighting for this result for many many decades. With the modern exceptions of President Reagan and President Trump there has not been any opposition to this course we’re on.
With 8 years of Hussein Obama and the expected election of Hellery those forces expected completion of their decades long plans.
But, We the People awakened and screwed up those plans to Fundamentally Change our Country.
And, after all their attempts to frame Trump have failed miserably. They are now so desperate, so out of their minds that they have resorted to Plan C.
Utter and total nationwide RIOTS and Chaos.
The people who screamed, cried, howled at the moon when in 2016 it was announced that Hellery Lost and President Trump is the next President of the United States.
This is all planned by the very people who we laughed at after Donald Trump was elected our President.
They’re not laughing people. They are ACTIVELY ENGAGED and they are insanely angry and they are out for blood.

If anyone wants to know what is happening in Seattle/WA....cue in to KTTH and listen in to Todd Hermans podcasts. I am a big Rush fan, but I find myself listening to these 40 minute programs instead. Rush is not suited for the activities of today. He is not up to being a “wartime consiglieri”. It is sad, but we all pray he gets better soon.

Rush is correct though in that BLM insists that negotiation starts with an admission that America is racist to its core. We must change that to fit them. The only thing I can figure is that it is simply a call to turn ourselves into South Africa part deux. ....Someday white people will be prisoners to blacks, then “justice” will be achieved.

Oh well, the looters have free reign to steal, destroy and terrorize the good people of Seattle. Send out the word.

We can’t have POTUS watching the overthrow of America and sit and blame the Libtards. He would be in dereliction of duty, and would be defeated by the empty head called Joe.

It is his duty as President to defend this country. No governor or mayor can stop him. I as a military veteran took much the same oath as the President does when I mustered into the Navy forty odd years ago. My oath is still in force even after my enlistment has ended. I believe their are many veterans who feel the same. The next few months will be interesting..

The mayor’s understanding and concern for the Constitution seems a bit selective. Perhaps she should look up the Insurrection Act.

[What are the exceptions to the Posse Comitatus Act?

For example , President Johnson sent federal troops to Detroit in 1967 to help deal with that riot.

President Eisenhower sent federal troops to Little Rock in 1957 to enforce a school integration court order.

So while we understand about the Posse Comitatus Act clearly there must be some exceptions that can be used.]

Many state and local officials will not act to protect the property rights of their residents, but are actually aiding and abetting the law breakers in their destruction and thievery. Trump could, therefore, invoke Eisenhower’s justification:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act#2006%E2%80%9307_suspension
[In the mid-20th century, the administration of President Dwight D. Eisenhower used an exception to the Posse Comitatus Act, derived from the Enforcement Acts, to send federal troops into Little Rock, Arkansas, during the 1957 school desegregation crisis. The Arkansas governor had opposed desegregation after the United States Supreme Court ruled in 1954 in the Brown v. Board of Education that segregated public schools were unconstitutional. The Enforcement Acts, among other powers, allowed the president to call up military forces when state authorities were either unable or unwilling to suppress violence that were in opposition to the citizens’ constitutional rights.[5]]

Given that Democratic governors and municipal officials are now complicit in the destruction wrought by rioters and will neither protect business owners nor restore order, I think Trump is well within his authority in putting troops on the streets. The question is whether he has enough troops and what the electoral impact is going to be. Given that the press has been doing the whole Orange Hitler routine pretty much since the inauguration, I’m not even sure it’s even a risky play, politically. They’ve cried wolf way too often.

And Trump is held responsible by voters for rioting in the streets, even though it’s not really within the normal scope of his authority to put riots down. Voters aren’t legal scholars. They’re not up on the Posse Comitatus Act. If Trump’s going to be held responsible anyway, then he should use Federal resources and get this resolved. Bush wasn’t responsible for Katrina’s aftermath. He was held responsible anyway. There’s a lesson in that.

Would you mind sending me a note to remind me of this radio host? I love talk radio and am always looking for something new. Of course, there’s Rush (though he doesn’t work well on my cell phone), Prager and Hannity but mostly I listen to Mike Gallagher.

“What more do you want me to do?”

Give a unifying, comforting speech.

Trump gives speech.

“That was terrible!”

[As much as Trump wants to restore order in these cities (and I understand his reasons why),maybe it’d be best if he sent troops in only if asked.

If not, let them burn to the ground. Let the rioters, anarchists, arsonists, looters, etc own these cities.

And if asked, just say out loud “If offered to send in troops to assist, but was told No. What more do you want me to do?”]

I see this as an opportunity to lock up a bunch of criminals and take felons off the voter rolls, while reminding both owners and employees of small businesses that he has their backs, even if Democratic state and local officials would be content to let them be wiped out financially. The problem with GOP presidents is that they’ve often tied their own hands with respect to scofflaw Democratic local officials where Democrats have ridden roughshod over Republican ones. It’s time to return the favor.

Remember what happened to the Sheriff of Maricopa County, Joe Arpaio, when he acted up against Obama’s edicts? Trump can do the same against the state and local officials that resist his efforts to restore order.

So the President should just let Americans be beaten, have their businesses robbed of every thing of value they own, have their buildings burn down to make a political point?

They’re always going to scream when he overrides their little plots but he is the President, the most powerful position in the world. He can send help to those neighborhoods.

Presidential Authority to Use US Military Forces

Here are the current conditions the president can use to deploy US Military Troops on American soil.

(1) The President may employ the armed forces, including the National Guard in Federal service, to—

(A) restore public order and enforce the laws of the United States when, as a result of a natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition in any State or possession of the United States, the President determines that—

(i) domestic violence has occurred to such an extent that the constituted authorities of the State or possession are incapable of maintaining public order; and

(ii) such violence results in a condition described in paragraph (2); or

(B) suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy if such insurrection, violation, combination, or conspiracy results in a condition described in paragraph (2).

(2) A condition described in this paragraph is a condition that—

(A) so hinders the execution of the laws of a State or possession, as applicable, and of the United States within that State or possession, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State or possession are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or

(B) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.
