Numerous democrat governors have declared that churches are not essential. What did 99% of churches do? They just shrugged their shoulders and went along with it.
Sure a few whined a little and a few even signed a petition. But I sincerely think 90% of these churches would be content to stream church services until the end of time if the Democrat governors decided it.
I loathe the BLM protesters, but at least they stand up for their beliefs.
If pastors agree their churches are non essential, why should I disagree?

The church isn’t a building, it’s believers, the bride of Christ. The Church is people. And don’t be too surprised if the Church is taken up from this earth this coming weekend.
Churches are not essential to Communism. Looting is essential to the imposition of Communism. America will be a fully Communist country after noon on 20 January 2021 despite a few lingering Republican governors unless we reelect Trump and give him a Republican majority in both houses of Congress, and even that only means a few more years of partial freedom in the remoter parts of a few states. The atheistic Communists are ascendant, having taken over the indoctrination and formation of a majority of American youth through the university system and now a large majority of public schoolteachers.
Of course, the church will never perish but will thrive underground as she did in the Communist regimes of east Europe, but that is our future.

My church still is not meeting. I was bass player in the worship band, did some sunday school teaching and participated in Jail ministry. I’m not sure I’m going back. I’ve had words with the pastor and it sounds like he understands my perspective but they seem to have a “you can never be too cautious” perspective.

What do they all have in common to one degree or another?
Are we experiencing a December 7th in slow motion that fits our times?
If so, would it be prudent to expect this war be different than the last war?
Will this war include corrupting our election process?
So many pastors are not men but happy-happy feminized soy cucks who know neither the age nor the times.
They are complete embarrassments. Who needs them?
There are Scriptures for both sides to quote but most church-goers I have spoken with see it as a temporary inconvenience and not worth going to war over. A lot of people have discovered the fun of Skype, Zoom or other streaming/meeting platforms that they might not otherwise have bothered to learn the technology. I’ve participated in fellowship groups during this where I no longer live and have enjoyed catching up with past friends.
For me, the question is whether the church is there for MY benefit or has God placed me somewhere for His glory and His purpose. Secondly, is the church a building where believers meet or are the believers themselves the church and wherever they meet, there is Christ among us.
I’m not unhappy with pastors and churches who want to challenge authorities on this but I believe He is greater than the world and this is an issue where we’re not limited by where we are not allowed to be should this only be temporary.
I think there will be massive resistance should anyone try to call for extreme lockdowns and stay-at-home orders if those behind this dare to try it again. The next big scare won’t work as well as this one.
