Businesses damaged in Minneapolis, St. Paul after riots
Star Tribune ^

Posted on 06/08/2020 3:12:06 AM PDT by TigerClaws

As of Friday night, at least 530 businesses across the Twin Cities had been vandalized, looted or had doors and windows smashed. Some have been reduced to rubble, and at least 67 have been destroyed completely by fire. Others have reported extensive water damage or severe fire damage.

While this is an incomplete list, businesses along a 5-mile stretch of Lake Street in Minneapolis and a 1-mile stretch of University Avenue in St. Paul's Midway area have experienced some of the heaviest damage, especially those nearest Minneapolis' Third and Fifth police precincts. As protests spread across the metro, many larger companies with multiple locations have temporarily or indefinitely closed. We will continue to update as we learn more.

Robbing a post office is a federal crime.

Burning them to the ground now isn't.

How does an enemy destroy our country without firing a shot? Fund leftist causes and Democrat candidates.

The one time when the police should be using deadly force and they back down.

Not having a police department soon should help :-)

it’s ironic. Bad neighborhoods and business neighborhoods need the police by far the most. The suburbs will pretty much be okay without them.

although I could be wrong. I have never called them but I guess domestic disturbances could get out of hand and petty crime can go up in any neighborhood. But I don’t think murder is going to soar in a neighborhood that had none before

The goal is to collapse our system of government. Leftists want a ‘revolution’ and this is their first step. Eliminate police departments. Seize ALL guns.

Then they’ll do what leftists have all historically done in totalitarian regimes. “Re-educate’ and exterminate.

They murdered 100 million in the 20th century. God help us.

Working-class neighborhoods are the ones who will suffer the most, and find reason to shut-down and leave the community. If you owned a McDonalds in this area and got burned down...I’m sure the franchise owner will review options, and then voice the idea that you will build a new front back up....but a minimum of 20 miles from the old location.

This part of Minneapolis will never officially recover. Some folks will view options and just start renting the U-Haul vans to leave not just the area but maybe the state.

Then you add in people who might not have carried a gun before, but now see a reason to haul a gun in the car (to work, while shopping, or dropping kids off at school). Your trust level just got impacted.

Finally, you come to the maturity level of the city council and mayor. Frankly, they fail miserably. I don’t think the mayor will last more than another month or two, and he’ll just set a resign date toward the end of summer. Trust is virtually a joke at this point.

Curley effect. Cater to freeloaders, drive out taxpayers, blame the rich, get reelected.

Rinse and repeat.

It is past time for serious talk about organizing a militia. I can see it now, a bunch a young rioters faced down by a bunch of 70 year-olds.

The Democrat party’s seizing the education system has been their best move.

Minneapolis without police will be a dangerous city. Next riot we’ll see how the social workers handle things.

I am a native Detroiter. I was 17 years old in 1967. I witnessed first hand the death of Detroit in the summer of 1967. This is how it happens. Minneapolis will never recover from this. The UAW promised to rebuild Detroit. It never happened.

I used to travel to Minneapolis for medical device trade shows, not any more.

Moral: Africanization is literally destroying America. Africanization of Minneapolis has destroyed the right to business and property by permitting the redistribution of business wealth to feral Africans.

Wealth redristribution is a primary tenent of the Democrat Party platform and governance philosopy

So NY’s DeBlazz is cutting the police budget to give more to disadvantaged youth programs. Is that a program that will assist them selling stolen loot on EBAY?

“If they can’t get what they need in their “hood”, they’ll be coming into yours”

They will definitely get what they need when they go to some “hoods”.
