Ping !
Yup.
This is all dumb.
Eventually folks will realize that except for a small minority population of high risk individuals, you CANNOT stop the spread of such diseases. They basically just run their course.
*** The consequences of the measures required to truly stop the spread would outweigh the actual risks/deaths from this disease.
We better shut off all drinking fountains too, while at it. Public phones? Nope. Public mass transit? Nope. Air travel? Nope. Forget dining in, even take out should not be allowed if we wanted to be for real and not just this bullshit pretend mode where we show action but don’t really accomplish anything.
There are folks that are at high risk, i.e. cancer/chemo, organ transplants and immune suppressant drugs to prevent rejection... For these people taking the extreme measures required to prevent them from becoming sick makes sense. They basically live in a bubble for 3-4 months as the disease passes over. However, for the vast majority it’s just business as usual basically.
