WASHINGTON -- Following weeks of national protests since the death of George Floyd, President Donald Trump has signed an executive order he said would encourage better police practices. But he made no mention of the roiling national debate over racism spawned by police killings of black people.
Trump met privately with the families of several black Americans killed in interactions with police before his Rose Garden signing ceremony and said he grieved for the lives lost and families devastated. But he quickly shifted his tone and devoted most of his public remarks to a need to respect and support the brave men and women in blue who police our streets and keep us safe.
He characterized the officers whove used excessive force as a tiny number of outliers among trustworthy police ranks.
But Trump, who has faced criticism for failing to acknowledge systemic racial bias and has advocated for rougher police treatment of suspects, has continued to hold his law and order line. At the signing event, he railed against those who committed violence during the largely peaceful protests while hailing the vast majority of officers as selfless public servants.

I Bet just like you associated press he didnt mention black crime either
largely peaceful protests
—
OK, arsonists.
largely peaceful protests
OK, arsonists.
Same thing.
Why should he mention racism when there is no evidence that racism played a role in any of the deaths that the left is so fond of talking about ad nauseum.
Word is that he didn’t mention lacrosse either
Why would he mention the “R” word, you guys have in plastered on every page of your trash formerly called newspapers.
The AP puts three idiots to write an attack on a President who wants to help things by tracking bad cops. Like BLM, the mainstream media will never be satisfied until we are in a full Marxist lockdown with all whites groveling at the feet of minorities.
Good for him.
This narrative that there is rampant institutional racism needs to be countered effectively and emotionally. All of the places where this "institutional racism" seems to be endemic are all leftist strongholds. Maybe pushing that message will help.
Also, there is the issue of high criminality among certain groups. I can't help but notice that all of the "victims" of "police violence" are hardened criminals. I have yet to hear of an innocent black man doing ordinary activities suddenly being assaulted and murdered by police, but I did know a black auto detailer who was murdered by thugs. I have yet to see the police suddenly surround and break into the home across the street where a black couple lives in this middle class neighborhood.
Black Crime Matters.
Because we still don’t know whether or not racism had anything to do with George Floyd’s death.
Notice how often it takes three of these $hitbirds to write a hit piece. I guess as long as you have a beating heart your golden for an Communications / Journalism school degree these days.
The AP is what wrote the article saying that the zone taken over by anarchists in Seattle is a “festival” that Trump “fumed” at for existing.
Jill “Swill” Colvin, member of The Resistance Against Trump...
White guilt causes that.
I havent seen the word sh!tbird since 1973. Thanks for the memory and laugh.
