My new helmet (Christmas present to myself) has a nifty sun-shield that slides up and away if not needed.

It keeps my nose from getting burned. :-)

I did about 90 miles today, and took some unfamiliar roads. Although I do have a road map of SE MA in my saddle bag, I just like to take the road less traveled. Because of the beltway system in Eastern MA, a two-lane road always crosses a familiar point...eventually. Today it was Hanover, Hanson, Halifax, Bridgewater, Middleboro Taunton, Raynham, Rochester, Wareham, Carver, Plymouth, Kingston, Duxbury, Pembroke, Norwell, Scituate, and Hingham. Lots of looping around! Plymouth Center had a few tourists wandering around in masks, but it’s the 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower, for cryin’ out loud! OPEN THE BAHS!!!!!!!

Used Rtes 105, 106, 104, 28, 58, 27, 3A, 53, and 123. And lots of roads that didn’t have rte numbers.

Lots of bikers out today, and they all gave me “the wave”.

The map doesn’t show the nice back roads I take, but that’s OK...wouldn’t want them to get too crowded.

The map also does not show the Yard Sales, Antique Stores, Lakes Ponds, Farms, Cornfields, Cows, Goats, White Steepled Churches, and Ancient Royal Wampanoag Cemeteries, either! :-)
