TULSA, Okla. - President Donald Trump drew lower-than-expected turnout at his first rally in months on Saturday in Tulsa amid a tense political backdrop, nationwide anti-racism protests, and warnings from health officials about the coronavirus.
Trump began the rally, his first since early March, by thanking the crowd of supporters indoors for coming, despite efforts from "some very bad people outside," alluding to the campaign's unfounded claim that protesters were responsible for the many empty seats inside Tulsa's 19,000-seat Bank of Oklahoma Center by blocking rally-goers from entering.
"We begin! We begin! We begin our campaign," Trump said to applause. "I stand before you today to declare the Silent Majority is stronger than ever before!"
Trump peppered his speech with various criticisms of former Vice President Joe Biden, his presumed Democratic rival in the 2020 presidential election, including on race.
“Virtually every policy that has hurt Black Americans for half a century, Joe Biden has supported or enacted,” Trump said. “I have done more for the Black community in four years than Joe Biden has done in 47 years."
The president also spent a great deal of time recounting the media and pundit reaction to his now-viral and noticeably cautious walk down a conventional-looking ramp after a speech at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point last week.
The president also went after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, a familiar target, for apologizing this month for opposing players kneeling to protest police brutality during the national anthem.
“We will never kneel to our national anthem or our great American flag,” Trump said.

I saw the whole speech on Fox Nudes.It was tremendous. And hilarious. The president revealed with great humor the false propaganda being broadcast by the MSM. It endeared him to millions of new voters .
Speaking plainly, with not an iota of snobbery so much required by non populist politicians, our President touched on all of the issues facing our nation. And who would select Biden as our leader in these times? The answer: no one who can read.
All the left has now is the MSM, propping up a geriatric candidate controlled by the radical left wing of a morally bankrupt party that has nothing good about it at all for America.
And now our President , on behalf of America , is gleefully destroying the only remaining leg the Dems have to prop them up, a lying, fraudulent jingoistic media .

I WANT them to use that sort of imagery as much as possible. The are promoting delusion.
Note in the sentence and paragraph regarding Biden’s racism there are no weasel words hinting at the claims being wrong.
NBC doesn’t realize the rallies are for the tv audience too.

I’m not the type of person who plays pretend. The president, and the nation, is hanging by a thread. I hope going forward he acts less like a politician and more like the 2016 version of DJT, the one who identified our problems and the people who caused them. We all need to work our tails off to get him another 4 years. Every canon in the global army is aimed against him.

I dont recall any attendance estimates. I do recall everyone in media saying folks are going to die if they attend. Shouldn’t story be “ thousands face death to attend rally”?
The election isn’t Trump v Biden. Its Trump v institutions (media, Hollywood, bureaucrats). If the institutions win Biden gets to claim the Presidency. I don’t think Biden will have a single pointed question this entire cycle. I’m not convinced there will be any debates and if there are its inconceivable to me how they won’t tip the scales. He’ll probably rehearse with the moderators. I want Trump to have more interviews with the antagonist became that’s when he’s at his best. Hannity interviews aren’t him at his best.
It makes so much sense for the government to restrict testing of the public. It keeps the virus numbers from going up. It’s genius if you think about it. A new model of disease prevention, that only our president could conceive!
I don’t get it. I saw it on TV. Plenty of people in the stadium. Plenty of people outside. As far as I know, this is the first big gathering of any kind (other than riots) since COVID-19 caused the lockdown. I thought turnout was impressive. I enjoyed the speech. Seems like a big success.
