Let them huff and puff. We can always make more statues.
We are all picking sides now. Our side is still waiting it out hoping to avoid what seems inevitable. Hence the anarchists only see that it is they who will fight. The result being they sense no consequences for their actions.
Add to that the simple fact there actually are negligible consequences and there is nothing stopping them. President Trump is handling it in DC and Barr is working some federal charges here and there but if it takes 3+ years like the coup-plotters, the Country will be done by then.
The outcome will be, I’m afraid, that it will be us who stop it.
I am waiting for a statue to fall on the idiots who are pulling it down. Kind of like stepping on a cockroach. SPLAT!

I find it interesting, and frankly quite disgusting, that in Seattle there’s a statue of Vladimir Lenin.
He’s only the person who laid the groundwork for the most murderous regimes in human history. From him to Stalin, to Mao, to Hitler, to Pohl Pot, to the Kims of North Korea to Mugabbe and then to far too many tinpot dicatators over the years who excelled at murdering their own people.
He laid the groundwork for the extermination of more than 100 million people in a single century.
Disgusting.

If I remember correctly the Lenin statue is private property displayed on private property. The city of Seattle is not involved with it.
It would serve them right.
I believe the Taliban has a history of destroying statues and artwork.
Its all fun and games until the bullets start flying.
That happened with one of the confederate statues a few weeks ago. Don’t think the guy died, but he got a serious head injury.

I didn’t get as far as your post, but had already posted about how disgusting it is to have a statue in Seattle that commemorates the man who laid the groundwork for the most despicable and murderous regimes in human history.

My wife and I were watching the rioters live on TV with tje statue in Portsmouth, VA being damaged. My wife said, and I quote... “I would like to see that statue fall on a rioters head”. Moments later, it happened.
“ Folks, this is an opportunity for us to tell the stories.“
