San Franciscos plan to put homeless people in hotels and motels is not going well.
One recent morning a disheveled, visibly disturbed man ran frantically around the lobby of the Mark Hopkins Hotel, the historic and elegant property located at the crest of tony Nob Hill. As one of San Franciscos designated Front-Line Worker Housing (FLWH) hotels, its reserved for health-care and public-safety employees working on Covid-19 related matters. But San Francisco is surreptitiously placing homeless people in luxury hotels by designating them as emergency front-line workers, a term that the broader community understands to mean doctors, nurses, and similar professionals.
Do I look scary to you? the man demanded. Theyre trying to evict me because I wanted more towels but Im homeless! They called the cops on me. He dashed out the door and around the grand circular entrance, where two police officers attempted to resolve the situation. Soon a cab pulled up and an inebriated couple emerged, holding full plastic trash bags. They fought, screaming at each other until the woman entered the lobby and her partner lit a meth pipe in the garage area. More front-line workers.

The San Frisco residents deserve their Felini-like city and the chaos and incivility that it portends. Hahahaha. More popcorn!!!
I would really enjoy seeing this transpire in documentary form.
Im already laughing!
What could possibly go wrong with this policy?
People who can afford to stay in luxury hotels should not be the only people who get to stay in luxury hotels.
They have also received a legitimate mailing address where ballots can be mailed. The real reason for this fiasco is to create more voters for Democrats, who have given them these taxpayer-financed "homes".
I think the Marc Hopkins just wants to renovate and they are getting the $$$$$$ to do so right from taxpayers pockets!!
We’ve stayed there several times, NO MORE!!! Homeless are getting great rooms and great views.
I don’t care how much you renovate a building; once it’s infested with lice, bedbugs, fleas, body crabs, etc. the only way to disinfect it is with a “good coat of FIRE”.

To Anyone who suggests they want to take a tourist trip there - Tell them about the feces and needles in the streets, bums laying sprawled on the sidewalks - and THAT is AROUND the places where the Tourists go - transportation hubs.
Call it “San Fran Shithole” - it is what it is.
Tell them “Best to play it safe and NOT go there”.
