So Bernstein would have Trump take the word of some intelligence analyst, unvetted and unverified. One of the finest examples of such stupidity involved us in the second Iraq War, where some liar to gain favor wiht the Cheneys and Bernsteins of this world, made up the story that agents of Saddam Hussein had met with the 9/11 terrorists in Prague. Made no sense, not a word of truth in it, but it was used to lure us into America’s craziest war, which cost us thousands of our best, maimed physically and mentally countless others, cost trillions of dollars, and when the US largely left, we had a 2 percent approval rating among the Iraqi people for this mess. THAT is the product of unverified, unvetted intelligence that gets us into needless wars. Just because it makes some unelected, overpaid bureaucrat angry shouldn’t factor in the equation.
