Seattle's 'occupied' protest zone was dismantled Tuesday a day after the second deadly shooting at the camp when its own security shot dead a black teenager. Demonstrators have occupied several blocks around the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct and a park for about two weeks. Police had abandoned the precinct following clashes with protesters calling for an end to police brutality. But by Tuesday morning crews were working to pull down the barriers.

I agree that is the best and most logical answer. Trump has shown remarkable restraint to all this goading and it hasn't worked. If he had cracked down, they would use that all summer screeching "He's a tyrant! He's suppressing free speech!" That failed, so now it's on to the next thing -- which today seems to be COVID Part 2. I like your analogy to a Broadway Play that's been cancelled.

Looks to be working out for Trump. They tried like mad to bait him into getting involved, knowing that doing so may make 20% of the country happy, but DESTROY HIM politically.
At this point, it’s their baby and they can deal with it.
LOL!! It's a shame what happened, but the parents share the responsibility for not knowing where their kids were at that time of the morning. Makes you wonder if someone let them use the car, or they took the keys and went for a ride. The second boy is in critical condition I guess...but I haven't heard if he's said anything yet about what happened.

They (like Biden) expect one perfect shot at a running felon to hit his leg. Actually officers are lucky to only hit what they want and avoid hurting bystanders and they have regular target range shooting qualification ratings to maintain.
The goofy BLM and Antifa thugs will also have sudden impulse to fire in anger when they are opposed. No restraint and duty to look for avenues of avoiding the violence when coming upon a chaotic situation. Just like a fight on the playground or at an ex girlfriend's apartment---beatings, knifings, gunfire from anger. Often a little child shot by accident in the conflict or in a drive-by. That's going to be worse when no police are funded.

It was BRILLIANT. By threatening to go in, he actually forced the mayor/governor to leave it intact, thereby giving the entire country a good look at these people and how they behave, if left to their own devices, without police or other services.
As to the people being shot - tough crap. As to the people living there, they had DECADES to get out of that dump - it’s not Trump’s fault that their properties are basically worthless now.
Braden must have flunked his Agricultural class looking at that picture.
