Looking at the daily deaths in Florida, it seems to be pretty flat since mid-April. A bit of a recent upswing but not above the past 3 months levels. The projections, of course, are for a big upswing unless we don’t do the mask and social distancing thing. Funny how the big increases in the projection always start at the current date and keep slipping.
And who they are testing and why.
Most people who test positive stay home quarantined. They probably do not have access to several subsequent tests as to professional golfers.
My guess - loads of asymptomatic people with COVID are now going to hospitals for other reasons (backlog of everything NOT COVID) and find they’re testing positive.
...so they’re a “COVID hospitalization”, which is complete BS. Unless death rates climb it is irrelevant and probably demonstrating that we’re well on the way to herd immunity. If we’re not putting them into NURSING HOMES then we’ll probably not see a climbing death rate.

I thought that at first also; but now I think that they’re shooting their bolt for this election...all or nothing, so to speak...
if Trump wins, they can’t keep this going for another number of years, or even months...of course, if Biden wins, then they’ll have to turn things around immediately so he doesn’t get too deep in the hole..
They really want Florida to not go for Trump.
It’s being made the focus of these date and distorted reports.
And in other news, 10,000 people with Covid19 reported they didn’t know they had it and never felt better. Biggest scam in history. 90 year olds with cancer in Nursing homes are probably at risk though.
It’s not a “case” unless they are admitted to a hospital. These are just people who were stupid enough to get tested.
My employer told me to get tested. I told them no way.

Also, aren’t medical personnel able to test more people every day? The more people they are able to test in a day, the more people with COVID-19 they’re going to find.
In fact, hypothetically speaking, every person on earth would have to be tested every day for accurate analysis. Corrections, insights welcome.
Also, people getting killed in car accidents, for example, are recorded as dying from COVID-19 if it is found in their bodies.
Finally some conservatives are probably accurately predicting that pandemic will end the day after election day when PDJT is reelected.
In other words, all this pandemic fuss is arguably because elite, deep state Democrats who broke the law trying to keep PDJT from lawfully winning Oval Office want to stay out of jail. Anybody but Trump would let them off the hook.

I would also like to know what their previous baseline is and if the testing ratios have increased. If they were testing 1% of the population and logged 1000 new cases a day, then went to testing 10% of the population and logged 10,000 new cases a day....

I bet if they tested a goat or fruit it would come up positive. Contaminated tests.
Florida breaks down population by White, Non-White, and African American. Florida does not list Hispanic population on its own in the state records. It may in the county or municipal records but I didn’t check those. So there are some classification issues going on.
I pulled the state stat sheets and found for Hillsborough County alone, with a 2019 population total of 1,229,226, that 200,000 were infants to age 10, 621,420 were age 11 to 49, leaving some 400,000 age 50 to 85.
Child-rearing age population segment overwhelmingly in the majority. So Florida—if one extrapolates as Hillsborough being a fairly typical county—is NOT populated by a majority of seniors as the MSM constantly drums about. It is, in fact, a hyperactive minority incubator state.
I do kniw FL has a higher percentage of elderly than NYS, but a far lower fatality rate for elderly WuFlu patients.
I agree and since everyone tested is coming back positive it makes this number even more meaningless. It's a scam, a ruse, pure BS.
Nurses have been sending in clean swabs that come back positive so these tests are all meaningless.
Complete information does not help fuel panic. And getting people in a panicked state is what the media wants.
Reported in a single day is not the same as that many cases in a single day. New cases does not mean only active cases but it includes newly revealed recovered cases.
That has been my belief as well.
