The reason for that is they do not fear any repercussions from President Trump unlike when Bathhouse Barry was running things and the Pentagon knew any dissent meant immediate dismissal.
Over the next four years Trump needs to focus on undoing the infiltration of our institutions...
************
That may have been possible a decade or more ago but with the “new demographics” and seismic cultural shifts that would be difficult if not impossible to do IMO.
I think any such undoing of our corrupted and dysfunctional institutions will only be possible through a some kind of realignment of political territories. We are already at the point or irreconcilable differences and something has to give.
Division between the Left, Right, and Center. But, also, because of poor tactics. "They'll never come through the Ardennes, let's put our weakest division there."
I think the present reality is that Trump is not really the Commander in Chief. He is that in name only.
The Pentagon has effectively disabused him of that notion or responsibility. I seriously doubt they would dutifully act on his command if such an event were to arise, at least not without them achieving some type of consensus within the Pentagon. In other words, our ability to quickly and decisively respond to aggression is questionable.
Bathhouse Barry didn’t have to worry about his party abandoning him.
One of the recent grads had “Communism Will Win” inside his cap.
I awoke this morning.
Therefore, I consider myself woke.
The woke crowd better get shovels to exhume the politically incorrect historical persons buried at the West Point cemetery. George Custer is presumably buried there though there is chance his bones might still be at the Little Big Horn battlefield in Montana. Certainly he was a racist by the standards of today and thus deserves to have his bones desecrated by a woke mob.
Look, liberals filled our institutions with commies when WE outnumbered them... Surely we can undo the damage. It won’t happen overnight and we won’t be able to undo it overnight but a plan needs to be put in place.
And followed.
Incentives work. As Kurt Schnider said the other day - tie student loans to colleges... If the kids can’t pay them back because ‘grievance studies’ doesn’t have a lot of job openings, the University picks up financial responsibility.
Use incentive tactics and Universities will start downsizing their own deadwood... we won’t have to do it - they’ll do it.
Then set up similar stuff for all infiltrated institutions.
About an hour later, we had our meeting with all 4 squad leaders (Chaparral platoon). After receiving his orders from my platoon sergeant, he gave excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't accomplish those orders...same old stuff, one's at the medic's, another's on KP, etc.
After the meeting, I asked my PSG, "let me see if I get this straight...he wanted us to bust his soldier for not following orders, while telling you he can't follow your orders."
With a broad grin, he said, "LT, you and I are going to get along just fine."
I had 3 platoon sergeants during the 18 months I served as a Platoon Leader: two Chaparral, one towed Vulcan, we were a composite battery whose mission was airbase defense. We worked together well. I let them run the platoons until it was time for field training/alerts/evaluations. I had enough extra duties to keep me busy.
Didn't have too many discipline problems. The "final solution" was to let them know that one more foul up, we'll transfer you to our sister battalion that's attached to the Big Red One. They spent 8 months out of the year in the red mud at Grafenwohr, as opposed to getting your omelets made to order in the Hahn AB mess hall.
Being a Platoon Leader was probably the most fun I had in the Army.
Groot,
Thank you for this expose and commentary on the infiltration of leftists and communism into West Point. I’m actually shocked that the faculty of West Point has been compromised, and regret that apparently the active military instructors have been brainwashed by the leftist civilian faculty and by the colleges where the officers received their Master’s degrees and/or Doctorates.
As a retired Army officer, I rejoice that my History MA came in 1974, before the academic indoctrination was wide spread. (20 years combined enlisted & commissioned service)
GreyFriar
They aren't vetted at all.
I regret to say that this armed forces that we have now is practically begging to be defeated ON THE BATTLEFIELD by a competent enemy capable of projecting comparable battlefield power. (I am not speaking of ragged insurgents now, but a good 1st or second world force)
The mania for diversity and gender inclusion is rotting it away. The function of an army is to fight. Remember the comments by this uniformed moron (CHAIRMAN OF THE JCS!!!) after the Nidal Hasan massacre:
George Casey said, Our diversity, not only in our army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think thats worse.
That alone should have been cause for his relief. He actually put this Marxist and corrupt notion of “diversity” over troop security.
The most important single function of the Federal government are maintaining armed forces capable of defeating all enemies, foreign and domestic. As a 26 year veteran of the US Army and Army National Guard, with combat service in three wars, for the first time in my life, I wonder if that is still what this armed forces are all about.
Who do you think is in Congress? And what do you imagine their goals are?
I guess he was right after all.
This retired Army Officer can tell you for a fact that the military is far more interested in Woke issues than combat readiness. how many women, gays, trans, can they get into combat unit leadership is much more important than how many serious war fighters can get into those positions.
This commie West Point graduate was named Spenser Rapone.
Mattis eventually tossed the commie bastard from the Army, although it took his long enough.
