The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will "no longer control" the coronavirus data collection system from hospitals across the nation, a spokesman for U.S. Health and Human Services confirmed Tuesday night.
The New York Times reported earlier Tuesday that the administration had ordered hospitals to bypass the CDC and send all COVID-19 patient information to a central database in Washington beginning Wednesday, raising concerns from health experts that it will be politicized or withheld from the public.

He is NOT stopping states from sending the data to the CDC, merely requesting it be sent to HHS first. I can see the usefulness of having two places to record and analyze the reports. To heck with anti-Trump FB fascists.

As if a mere journalists even THINKS of commenting on things scientific. Good grief, a grade school “volcano” science project is PhD level material to their simple minds.

After all the CDC did such a great job developing a Covid test. Also the clear and concise message they gave up front about whether or not the public should wear masks.

The CDC is deep state, big time. I don’t blame him for wanting the information first-hand. The CDC has an agenda to protect.

I was looking at the CDC web page yesterday. I was trying to figure out if its a government agency or not. They dont seem to be though they certainly must be getting govt money to operate. Now I am wondering who they are funded through. HHS?
There is nothing underhanded about this. First, state’s can still collect their own data from hospitals within that state. Second, This is information that should have been going to HHS in the first place as they regulate hospitals. This information is needed to make sure the concerns found in the below report are being met,

After WOFL-TV exposed that massive fraud with COVID-19 case reporting, no wonder Trump no longer trusts the CDC (and may dump Dr. Fauci very soon).
Maybe my mistake. Fauci is head of the NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases), part of National Institute of Health, different from CDC. Thats the org I couldnt determine who ‘owned’ it.

Ok, so now I know. Funny thing is Fauci has been head of that Org for almost 40 years. Usually you would think that one would either move up or move out over time, you know, maybe train up a mentee, so you could expand your own experience. But it seems like he is dug in collecting his check.

The answer I got was - Congress.
