I recall reading that the people in the area of the dam had reported “bending” in the dam walls. However I'm not at all familiar with dam construction nor how they're designed for the environment in, nor the projection for years after being built....... But this Dam was a curiosity since it was the first of it's kind on the scale they constructed it......as well, the impact on the entire area and population that would have to be moved before it was begun. So I've been watching over the years since built.
Well time will tell if his dam will hold or not. It probably might have been OK for some average yearly rainfall, but what we are having now just exceeded any and all predictions. With all the water pushing against the dam, all it would take is a fairly severe quake and the dam will be in trouble.

If Three Gorges dam blows this will be karmic blow back for sending the Wu-Flu around the world via Wuhan Chinese, who were banned from (internal) travel within China but were were allowed (encouraged in my book) to use the Wuhan international airport to fly anywhere-everywhere around the world. As in, you got cousins in France and Germany? Go see them now!
Wuhan has 14 million people but I never heard of it before 2020
