Duration of Isolation and Precautions for Adults with COVID-19
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/duration-isolation.html ^ | 7-22-2020 | CDC

Accumulating evidence supports ending isolation and precautions for persons with COVID-19 using a symptom-based strategy. This update incorporates recent evidence to inform the duration of isolation and precautions recommended to prevent transmission of SARS-CoV-2 to others, while limiting unnecessary prolonged isolation and unnecessary use of laboratory testing resources.

Key findings are summarized here...

3. A large contact tracing study demonstrated that high-risk household and hospital contacts did not develop infection if their exposure to a case patient started 6 days or more after the case patient’s illness onset (Cheng et al., 2020).

4. Although replication-competent virus was not isolated 3 weeks after symptom onset, recovered patients can continue to have SARS-CoV-2 RNA detected in their upper respiratory specimens for up to 12 weeks (Korea CDC, 2020; Li et al., 2020; Xiao et al, 2020). Investigation of 285 “persistently positive” persons, which included 126 persons who had developed recurrent symptoms, found no secondary infections among 790 contacts attributable to contact with these case patients. Efforts to isolate replication-competent virus from 108 of these case patients were unsuccessful (Korea CDC, 2020).

5. Specimens from patients who recovered from an initial COVID-19 illness and subsequently developed new symptoms and retested positive by RT-PCR did not have replication-competent virus detected... The risk of reinfection may be lower in the first 3 months after initial infection, based on limited evidence from another betacoronavirus (HCoV-OC43), the genus to which SARS-CoV-2 belongs (Kiyuka et al, 2018).

6. Currently, 6 months after the emergence of SARS-CoV-2, there have been no confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 reinfection...

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING! This was quietly released by the CDC 4 days ago. It destroys the shutdown reasons completely.

Note: “Replication-Competent virus” = Alive virus, capable of injuring patient or infecting someone else. “Non Replication-competent virus” = dead virus, can’t hurt or infect anyone. What’s left after your immune system kills the virus. Also called, “fragments.”

Big:

“4. Although replication-competent virus was not isolated 3 weeks after symptom onset, recovered patients can continue to have SARS-CoV-2 RNA detected in their upper respiratory specimens for up to 12 weeks…”

Translation: They couldn’t cultivate live virus from anyone in a lab 3 weeks after first symptom. But PCR can (and will!) show positive for 3 months(!)

Read that again. This is the CDC talking, not some “conspiracy theory!” website. Ironclad proof. The CDC is saying PCR tests are worthless!!! All those “Positive Cases!” used to justify lockdowns, masks, economic ruin, cancellation of the RNC Nomination Rally, everything, is based on false positives from people who are most definitely NOT SICK!

“3. A large contact tracing study demonstrated that high-risk household and hospital contacts did not develop infection if their exposure to a case patient started 6 days or more after the case patient’s illness onset (Cheng et al., 2020).”

Translation: You can’t infect anyone in real life 6 days after symptom onset.

“6. Currently, 6 months after the emergence of SARS-CoV-2, there have been no confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 reinfection.”

Translation: If you get it once, YOU ARE IMMUNE FOR AT LEAST 6 MONTHS!!!

“Assessment… Available data indicate that persons with mild to moderate COVID-19 remain infectious no longer than 10 days after symptom onset…

…Reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 has not yet been definitively confirmed in any recovered persons to date.”

In Florida, up to 80% of drive-through PCR "positive cases" are asymptomatic. According to the above article, recovered (not sick, not contagious) people can continue to show positive PCR for 12 WEEKS!

It also says immunity is real, at least for 6 months. Put it all together and you have:

As much as 80% of "Positive Cases!" are actually IMMUNE PEOPLE, who can't transmit the virus and are NOT sick!!!

I’ve been saying this for weeks. PCR cannot distinguish between live virus from a sick person, and dead virus from a long recovered person. Just websearch, “PCR test dead virus” (no quotes), see for yourself!

This is a giant scandal!!! And now the CDC agrees that: 1. For asymptomatic, mild, or moderate illness, you can’t infect anyone after 10 days, period. 2. At that point, people are immune for at least 6 months. 3. PCR test is worthless as after 3 weeks of first symptoms (if any!), you can test positive for another 3 months when you are NOT sick. False positives for 3 months.

Thanks.

All the reports of second infections are wrong.

These findings make sense in terms if known behaviors if viruses and communicable respirator diseases. It’s not as magic virus as the fearmongers make it out to be.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

The false positive rate was 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

If a quarantine saves just one child's or one old fart’s life, it's worth it.

Bottom lines I draw from this and other info:

Asymptomatic spread seems a very low probability.
10 days from onset of symptoms spread is likely starting high and rapidly dropping.
People with symptoms must isolate for 2 weeks from onset.
High risk people should strongly avoid going out and take severe precautions when they do. (Masks/Grocery drop off/avoid the public/etc.)
The rest of us should go about our business as usual with some rational precautions.

Looks like Sweden got it right and the rest of the world screwed the pooch.

And Fearpers everywhere will ignore the data. Imagine that. As I have said all along. This virus is like every other one in the history of virology and acts the same.

Good grief.....this is wonderful news, not a scandal. NONE OF THESE THINGS WERE KNOWN WHEN THIS VIRUS STARTED. It takes TIME to gather the necessary decision and do the necessary science.

Screw this bug

we don’t care

just drop it already

This is all just a giant attempt to make people fearful of each other ; and it’s working on the liberals

That’s only because liberals have fear to exploit

If you have no fear, you have no fear to exploit

If you believe totally and completely in love , you cannot have any fear

Jesus said it best

Facts on COVID-19 or that with the death rate of 0.1 to 0.3%

it is just another flu, bro!

I bet this goes down the memory hole, not reported by the MSM and the lock downs and role backs to more shutdowns continue.

PCR tests for nucleic acid fragments.

They recover DNA from Egyptian mummies, for heaven's sake!

Yes. People are NOT getting it twice.

Once you have it, or test positive, you are immune for at least 6 mos. I’d argue for 9, as it’s been around at least that long and we would have heard about people getting it twice.

“Positive Cases” mean NOTHING, except counting likely immune people! There is absolutely no justification for any mitigation effort (masks, lockdowns, etc.) based on positive case counts, or increasing cases.

Zero, zip, nada.

PLEASE spread this around! Someone who knows the sidebar mod please try to get it posted to frontpage or breaking. That way worldwide it will be seen in time for Monday’s news cycle.

Actually, “10 days from onset of symptoms” you are no longer contagious, for mild to moderate cases, per above.

“What about asymptomatic persons?”

Only mention is:

“In a recent study of skilled nursing facility workers followed prospectively for asymptomatic infection, one of 48 infected staff had a nasopharyngeal swab which was weakly positive on a single-passage plaque assay more than 20 days after initial diagnosis; however, the specimen was not subjected to serial passage to demonstrate the presence of replication-competent virus (Quicke et al., 2020).”
(No proof of transmission)

If there was any good proof of asymptomatic transmission, it would probably be in here somewhere.

What distinguishes a ‘recovered’ person from an ‘asymptomatic’ person?

This article seems to undermine the argument that everyone should be wearing masks and socially distancing because ‘asymptomatic’ persons may be spreading the diseases. It seems to be saying that only symptomatic persons can be spreaders.
