It would be a disaster for the stock market too. Think of all the consumer products that are made in China now. Iphones, Nikes, every power tool, chemicals, clothing, batteries, etc.
It would be a global financial disaster that would make the Wuhan Flu look like a cake walk. Hardly any global corporations would be spared from financial damage.
Think of all the containers that would be washed out to sea if the dam collapsed and flooded everything down to Shanghai.

Some Chinese guy is mocking the USA on Twitter for thinking the dam will collapse, has a live feed from the dam so you can “watch it go”. Lots of comments, unfortunately most are in Chinese.

The U.S. does a great job of growing these crops. Maybe we can get back to supplying our own needs and helping small farmers again.

Our farmers are just fine-except in Calipornicate where they have damaged that valley by starving it of water. But overall, the midwest farms are doing rather well this year compared to other years. Support your farmers by going down to the areas farmers market and purchasing your produce..etc.
China, on the other hand, will starve. They not only have floods in the largest food producing areas, but they have drought in the northern areas. That and they have been burning their grain stores because the grain is rotten. That was happening before these floods.
When a government can no longer feed its people, and they have made enemies of those around them, what does anyone think will happen? Revolution? I hope so. Will that oppressive government switch blame to those countries around them to try and prevent a revolution? No doubt. Then, they will start a war to take the peoples minds off the problems within.
One thing to remember about the commies in China, or anywhere for that matter, they do NOT care one bit about their populations lives. They have 3 hundred million starve? They got over 1 billion left.
Lots of land to plant in good ol’ corn on the cob for the supper table.

That’s a great story! I love it when innovation, dedication and hard work pay off for someone. I like Cheetos but don’t eat them often because they’re messy. If I do eat them, I also tend to eat the whole bag. But I’m gonna try the Flamin’ Hots.
