Perhaps it might be worthy to remind the younger workers out there:

Baby Boom stopped in 1965. Gen X starts then.

The youngest boomers are now 55 so this impacts Gen X, too. Don’t worry millennials, your time is coming.

As a famous epitaph once said, “Oh ye mortal man, where you stand now I once stood. Where I am now, you shall be.”

I’m sure I’m going to get flamed for this but the Boomers ruined the country... of course there are MANY Boomers who are fantastic and many of them are on this site, but as a generation they ushered in an era that spells the destruction of the republic. the country was lost on their watch. End of story.

It all depends on the older worker. Trump the older worker would be hired by the country in a heartbeat and given lifetime employment with perks, if that were possible. Biden the older worker is of the type who would be laid off at the first opportunity. 47 years on the job and nothing to show for it. In the end it’s not your age but the value, productivity and attitude you bring to your organization.

Mitch & company are (mostly) horrible people, not to mention I trust his Chinese wife and her father (he gave Mitch & her a $20 million dollar "loan") as far as I can throw them.

I’ve seen numerous articles discussing these generations and many of them just skip mentioning Gen X and if they do Gen X is now relegated to a mere 15 years. It also seems to me that the boomers in management that have held on so long now want to move millennials into management skipping the Gen X generation. Gen x was only have size of boomers due to abortion and lifestyles so maybe not so important and not so likely to be progressive; and too old now to be as tech savvy or at least the presumption is that.

workers over 50, TexasM1A wrote: I don’t know, this is definitely possible but the “kids” that have come through our place are horrible. Unmotivated, lazy and quite honestly stupid.

At least in my industry I do not see a very capable group of younger people.

Can FR just get a "LIKE" button... would be so much easier.

Well, actually it was the Greatest Generation that put it in high gear.

It's true we're nothing like the generation that is ripping down statues and shooting cops. We're the guys who fought Marxists, unlike some who cower from them.

Boomers were not in charge in the sixties when it all started to go to hell. The “greatest generation” was in charge, and even the parents of the greatest generation.

Or as the Bible puts it “Youth is wasted on the young”.
And never more wasted than on the lazy, ignorant illiterate & oh so selfish millenial brats.

and who know very little about anything, but are exceptionally well versed in lying about everything to try to cover their ignorance ..

“I’m sure I’m going to get flamed for this but the Boomers ruined the country...”

No flaming, just facts.

When the majority of boomers reached voting age, they voted overwhelmingly for Reagan.

When Millennials reached voting age, they voted overwhelmingly for Obuma.

And the “Greatest generation” voted overwhelmingly for LBJ.

Who ruined what and when?
