what do you think this is? 1814?
Choot him Elizabeth, choot him!
Lol!
I was inspired by Mr. Grande’s selflessness in running straight into harm’s way.
I had no idea there was so much humor to be mined here.
Reminded me of Steve Irwin. I wonder what ever happened to him? /Sarc.
Do you suppose Troy Landry lurks here?
Go Gators!
A Cajun with a .22 rifle can make a gator lose his mind.
is the alligator saying ‘I can’t breath, I can’t breath.
Alligator lives matter
Not bad, but a true Texas father would have thrown the gator over the fence. :-)
Never forget the time my son and I were fishing a man-made 40 acre lake across the Brazos from Brazos Bend State Park. Fish were not biting so we went alligator hunting cruising the shore of the lake in the john boat with him on the bow looking down in the clear water. About the time I saw the gator my son turned around and his eyes were big as dinner plates saying, “did you see that!” I said yes and let’s go back to which he responded no let’s don’t. The gator, lying on bottom, was as big as a tree trunk.
When they walk from the State Park to the lakes on the other side of the river they stand at least two feet off the ground to the bottom of their bellies. Downright huge.
I love that kind of talk.

a few points to try to remember when attacked by an alligator
Fight Like Hell If a gator grabs hold of you, there are a few things you can do. Most important, dont give up.Fight like hell. Dont go willingly, Mazziotti said. The bigger fight you put up, the more likely its going to let you go and say, This isnt worth it.
Smack the Snout Rather than try to open a gators jaws, which are extremely powerful, aim for where the animal is most vulnerable, like its snout.Pop them on the snout. The tip of their snout is very sensitive. That might be able to get them to release you, Magill said.
Gouge the Eyes Jabbing a gator in the eyes may also make it release its bite, even for just a moment, allowing you to get away before it pulls you underwater. The thing you want to stop them from doing is turning. Theyll grab, and theyll start rolling to try to break off pieces to eat, and thats the key thing, Magill said. Youve got to hold on as hard as you can. And the other is to try to poke your fingers in their eyes. Thats easier said than done in that situation, of course, but thats the best chance you have.
If you encounter an alligator that is believed to pose a threat to people, pets or property, call the FWCs Nuisance Alligator Hotline, toll-free at 1-866-FWC-GATOR (392-4286).

To them, we’re nothing but food.
It’s deeply foolish of us to tolerate them.
Yes, but who lets a 4-year-old near a canal?
“Yes, but who lets a 4-year-old near a canal?”
The nanny was there, too. It seems that a lot of formerly safe areas are being infested by gators as the population expands.
Even without gators, though, a canal is no place for a 4-year-old whether due to critters or the possibility of drowning.
Looks just like the critters we have swimming around here in Central Florida..........
