There was a smattering of boos when players from FC Dallas and Nashville SC collectively took a knee during the national anthem before their MLS game on Wednesday night in Frisco, Texas.
Dallas defender Reggie Cannon said he was disgusted by the boos at Toyota Stadium when players and officials knelt to call attention to racial injustice. He said teammate Ryan Hollingshead turned to him afterward and said he was sorry.
“You can't even have support from your own fans in your own stadium. It's baffling to me,” Cannon said. "As a team we try to give the best possible product on the field and these last six months have been absolute hell for us. Absolute hell."

Boos should only be the beginning. Why not a boycott? No patriotic and loyal American should be patronizing the team with attendance or support that in any way approves or facilitates their treasonous behavior.

This is a textbook example of the narcissism of self-righteousness. When you are supremely self-righteous, you think that everyone should correctly understand your thoughts and actions, you think anything that other people do is aimed at you, and you don't need to try to understand them because you already know.
Also note how he states three times that the person chanting is ignorant ("they "don't understand", "don't understand, "can't see") and then goes on to say "They think we're the ignorant ones."

Important for a sport not many follow in this country. Too bad they are on the wrong side of the issue like the rest of the leagues.
I enjoy all sports including soccer. That being said it’s to bad they inject their politics into it.
