Colby Garman is a good friend of mine, I lived 700 meters from his house. He was absolutely correct in calling for his dismissal.

As a Protestant I don’t blame the Roman Catholics for having sexual perverts in their midst. They are a large organization. Human beings are corrupt. Of course they have some. That is not their fault.
What I do object to is the sexual predators being covered and transferred and protected. That’s what has happened in the RC sex abuse scandals and is something the RC church IS responsible for.
Please note that on a questionable photo alone this man was put on a leave of absence. With the new revelations he has apparently been resigned. That’s how it’s done if there is not actual crime.
Were there crime we should turn them in to the authorities and not defend their criminal activity.
A class guy would never have mentioned to the public that his
wife had an affair. If it had to get out, he should NOT
have been the one to reveal it, or even talk about it.
Granted if asked, he could have said he had nothing to say
on the topic.

Not always, maybe not even in most cases, but sometimes people project their own moral failings. If someone is always talking about people who steal, don’t be too surprised if they’re found with one too many blenders in the garage. Similarly, I think that’s why you’ll find people who are (single-focused) on one thing being found in a motel with a transsexual prostitute. Sometimes people advertise their moral failings.
