It wasn’t cleaning up any distracting information, it was purposefully hiding a “problematic” sports logo on Biden’s kid in a photo. The effort in doing it is an in-kind Biden campaign contribution by CNN.

I’m no fan of Biden, but I just see this as cleaning up a photo to hide distracting information. I remove electrical wires from some of my photos to clean them up. If this photo was not about pro sports, I’d understand why they took it out. The photo looks better and focuses on the subject at hand with less mental clutter.

Except this is news. It's something that actually happened. The news altered a historical fact in order to save a candidate from dealing with a potentially politically incorrect situation. Down the memory hole!
