Check your “facts” again.

Yeah. It has to be a people and government that are moral, so the government has the moral sanction to enforce the law in a moral fashion.

Too many “morals” in one sentence there.

Kind of reminds me of Waco. Could have picked up Koresh on almost any day when he left the compound to pick up the mail. Not quite flashy enough, so let’s get some of us, and a lot of them killed.
I’ve met two honest cops in 59 years, forgive me if I’m not churning at the bit to back the blue.

Exactly. The list of shit going sideways is quite long. And I have yet to see a “sanctioned” activity to catch bad guys that didn’t also get used against the innocent either through mistake or malice.

People forget that when they give the government power to use against the other guy, it can (and will) be used against them too.

At the end of the day cops are unionized government employees, same as at the DMV or the welfare office. Not all of them put in an honest day’s work.

“Everyone here wants to back our police.”

yes, and abolishing the police is not the answer, because there is no such thing as no police. If the guys in blue are done away with, the guys with MS-13 tattoos will step in and take their place. What we need is reform from the top, starting with prosecutors. IMHO them and their win at all costs mentality are at the root of our justice problems. The cops in Minneapolis acted on their own, but the guys in Lousiville were sent there. Why is there no scrutiny of the ones that sent them?

Totally agree on this. DA's are the problem with the justice system. They are selectively prosecuting people based on how it will help them politically and on their personal political agenda. Also DA's are largely corrupt and there is absolutely no accountability. They can and do violate the law, prosecute innocent people, suppress evidence, withhold evidence and on and on. They have near absolute immunity and thus are accountable to virtually no one. DA's have our country well on the road to being a third world nation.
