I have heard more talk of this lately, including from the pulpit last Sunday.
In Albania under the Communists, all houses of worship were closed and all expression of religion was banned in 1967. A few years after the Communists fell, I met a young woman from Albania who came here to work as an au pair. She knew all of the music and prayers from the Orthodox Liturgy. The church still had functioned deep underground. Since then, an Orthodox archbishop has been installed in Tirana. Churches are being built. An American acquaintance of mine has been there for twenty years teaching in the seminary.
As Luther reminded us:
Let goods and kindred go.
This mortal life also.
The body they may kill.
God’s truth abideth still.
His kingdom is forever!
Those are fighting words.

Work camps, reeducation camps, suppression of religion. food shortages, Obama care on negative steroids. The fires of hell without the warming comfort, not just for America, but for 1000 years of future civilizations. If not us, who? If not now, when?
We can already see the way the left demonstrates hatred. It’s demonic. One day, it will be directed at Christians in western nations.
I say ‘western nations’ because There are many in other countries who are already being persecuted. We just don’t expect it here in our life time. I believe it’s coming tho.
I have been saying for years one day Christians and Muslims will become allies to fight the growing secular world who will persecute both religions via genocide of both followers.
