Lets sees now,
the off spring of MY generation brought us seat belts, no riding in the back of pickup or front of car and generally changed the rules of parenting because we must have done such a terrible job.
Now, the off spring of the ‘seat belt’ generation’ + are bringing us masks, social awareness etc because ALL before them had botched things up.
I was wondering why the ‘youth’ hadn’t rebelled against the masks and ‘figured it out’ the day a 30ish year old bank teller lectured me on the perils of my NOT wearing a mask.
He did get ‘upset’ at me when I asked him why he would accept a ‘bag of money’ from me and I would go sit down some 15 feet away and he would put a mask and gloves on to count it (touching OTHER things) finish counting it and taking the mask off. OR what good did the others think they were doing with the mask(s) below the nose etc.
He REALLY got ‘upset’ when I told him if he was going through all that, he should sanitize EVERY bill and change gloves for each new one.....
So apparently this is my ‘grandkids’ generational gift, the constant wearing of masks and bring ‘Chicken Little’ into a whole new light.

My sister lives in Evanston Illinois, which is a very similar-sounding suburb of Chicago. Her daughter, my niece, is on the colorguard for the marching band, and before one game, some old veterans were brought out in wheelchairs for the national anthem. The band will not play the anthem but it is played over the PA system. All the other members of the band and colorguard knelt. I am proud that my niece was the only one who remained standing.
Don't worry, ignorance CAN be cured.
Cleveland was named for Moses Cleaveland. So 'mistake by the lake' (I always heard 'mistake on the lake' when I lived there) referred to the misspelling of the city's official name.
So it's a well deserved slam.
If you live in a lefty school district you can accept this by letting your children be brainwashed or you can send them to private school or you can home school them.
Parents just got a small sample of what their kids are getting all day every day. If they like it they can leave their kids in it.
Parents are outraged? Did they pull their kids off the field and walk out?

They don’t like competition so they ruin it. They win if they are allowed to do these demonstrations and they win if football goes away.
I got a refund for my EKU football tickets this year because they released a political statement, the sideline people wore T-shirts that read "Say Their Names" on one side and "Enough Is Enough" on the other, and they had an angry clinched fist decal on their helmets. I bought football tickets to watch football, not to donate to a policital cause, especially one based on a pack of lies.

Oh, and I’m going to contact my state representatives and try to get legislation that any school accepting state money should be forbidden from making political statements.
