Good point and an important one as well.
Actually, if Gamma goes remnant low then its almost certain to be absorbed into Delta, but even a slight Fujiwhara influence beforehand will change Deltas trajectory and possibly slow it down, not good.

Poop.
Heads up!
Reminds me of 2005, except the upper Gulf coast gets slammed instead of FL.

Thanks for checking in. This Delta storm is worrisome with its rapid intensification. The northern Gulf Coast hasn’t had an opportunity to clean up and repair damage from the previous storms this season.

We had enough excitement in 2005. We were not un-drenched.

Thanks for posting Tropical Tidbits. As usual, he provides an excellent education toward understanding storm prediction.

Try zooming out one click-- to look at the wind flow feeding
both storms...
Intuitively, to me, that strong westward flow from the Atlantic across Florida and into the gulf might portend a more westerly landfall. Hard to visualize a storm heading eastward against that massive airflow...
Just what I don't need!
BTW, thank you for firing up this thread early enough that we can juggle our plans, if need be!
TXnMA
FWIW, I'm considering making a set of frame-grabs -- to see how the wind patterns are modulated over time by these two rotation centers.
We scientists just can't resist "doin' science"... '-}
