I don’t think it’s worth a red cent. If you don’t want to be embarassed then don’t commit a crime.
I think they should continue the process of roping the offenders. A little humiliation for them is not all bad. I t might give them pause to think it over before doing any repeats.

I’m thinking of the version I saw at Colonial Williamsburg. But that picture looks like an improvement.
