The federal prosecutor Attorney General Bill Barr tapped to investigate whether Obama administration officials improperly requested the unmasking of individuals during the 2016 election has concluded his probe without finding any substantive wrongdoing, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
Barr appointed U. S. Attorney Jeremy Bash to review whether there was wrongdoing by the Obama administration in requesting the identities of individuals in particular Trump allies whose names are redacted in intelligence reports during the heated election.
The practice, known as unmasking, is common and done to help government officials make sense of the intelligence documents they are reviewing, but the president and his allies have alleged that Obama-era officials acted improperly in making a series of unmasking requests that ultimately led to former Trump campaign aide Michael Flynns name to be unmasked.
According to the Post, Bash and his team reviewed unmasking practices as well as whether officials at the time improperly leaked information to reporters. Bash reportedly turned over his findings to Barr, whose office chose not to publicly release the findings. The findings did not rise to the allegations Trump and his allies have made about wrongdoing, according to the report.

Even with Barr, Dems get away with it EVERY SINGLE TIME
Barr has been in the swamp a long long time. Just sayin...
Had Republicans done the unmasking, the prison sentences would have already started.
Biting tongue for more information, more reliable news sources...
TRUST THE PLAN, DAMN YOU!
The fix is in.
Had Republicans done it, they would have been put in jail in 2017
Barr, Wray and Haspell have to go on day one of a new Trump administration. Barr is no friend of Trump.
Is unmasking illegal? Or is it within the discretionary authority these people have in these jobs?
Some of us have been saying for a long time that our laws are weak and here’s proof. Why? Well, look at who makes the laws. Why would legislators who are beholden to the deep state make tough laws to hold them accountable? Clearly it’s in their best interest to allow wide latitude when it comes to things like unmasking, because you never know when things like that might just come in handy.
Win reelection, then fix the laws. But many sins of the past are going to go unpunished.
Last sentence of the article: “The Post notes it was unable to review Bashs full findings. . .”
God willing Trump wins re-election they ALL get tossed on their a@@es
As you know, I Love Rudy.
And I know he is beat up and a little worse for wear.
But I think he owed it to the country to take the AG job.
He wanted Sec of State but we can’t always get what we want and Trump did offer AG to him.
He’s not the magnificent leader he was on 9/11.
He’s not aged so well.
But he would have been 100x better than sessions and 50x better than Barr.
Heck, Christie would have been 20x better than either. And that’s scary.
If true then this is very bad. However this all comes from the WP The most fake news site in the entire country. So I will wait for something more official.
And this is ok to release before an election?
