Donald Trump plays this as well as anyone ever has, but Mitch McConnell is brilliant too. MM is on the receiving end of a well deserved thumping, but this must ultimately pass. Neither DJT nor us FReepers should be lumping McConnell (or Pence, Rubio, Graham or others for that matter) in with the risible Romney, Flake, LCheney or Kasich. There needs at some point reasonably soon a reconciliation of sorts, or at least a determination to work past or around this.
We need to get on with the business of beating the left. There is no time to waste and no spare political capital to expend on these battles. Donald Trump owns the party. He needs to expel the most pathetic of RINOs. Thereafter, McConnell and others must and will come to terms with this and move toward Trump accordingly; and Donald Trump needs to have the door open to them when then come knocking. He needs to welcome them.
Any consideration of a future invitation to McConnell makes CPAC suspect.

Democrat House speaker Tom Foley, 1989-1995 was under suspicion of being gay in a scandal late in his career. He set up TV ads and photo-ops of him wearing plaid hunting jacket and cap and carrying around hunting rifles. Showed he was a he-man and a man of the people. And gun fan. Voters still kicked him out.
