It was TINNITUS, which he battled for years, and finally got to be too much. My wife suffers with this, as had William Shatner for decades, and many others. It's a horrible affliction.
Gotta have "tragic news" and a victim for that.
Then everybody can feel good!
I agree
tinnitus leading to suicide
You say ‘moderate to severe’ tinnitus and that you just ignore it. I have moderate tinnitus screaming always, even this very second.
You really have never had severe tinnitus. That could drive you mad. And from your callous tending tone, you are one of the ‘lucky’ sufferers.
Now turning my music to 11 to hide it. Hearing aids pretend to help.
I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
It’s pretty clear from the article that he had a bad case of Covid and was dealing with the results of this... anyone dealing with chronic illness doesn’t need to have “other demons” to end up committing suicide.
Like it or not Covid is real, and a bad case is not a joke, nor are the long term health issues you can deal with from it.
Besmirching this man, just because you have a political axe to grind it shameful.
Not everyone handles it well. It’s a well known phenomenon that is there is a connection between suicide and tinnitus.
It’s disgusting to me that you think this is about a political agenda. It’s very apparent that you don’t suffer from these sorts of demons. It’s like trying to explain addiction to my wife. If you don’t suffer from it, you can’t warp your mindset to a degree that it would make sense.
These lockdowns are atrocious for mental health, and your belief that anyone speaking contrary to the joke that is COVID is both instructive and damning.
No one can hear what you are hearing, even if they have tinnitus themselves.
....” I love Texas Roadhouse”...
When family visits that’s where they want to go. Great food and reasonable prices.
Very sad he couldn’t endure his suffering.
As far as I’m concerned, we live in a post-apocalypse world. If I didn’t have the Lord I would be depressed beyond belief. But because I have the Lord the opposite is true.
The Lord is my strength as well. I get very low during the week, but remembering that my reward isn’t here keeps my spirits up. Faith is hard work.
Tinnitus will drive some people insane. I have an old friend who suffers from it. Tried to kill himself twice. Now he’s doped up on prescription medications.
You absolutely are playing politics. Your presumption, with no evidence, that the person committed suicide due to other demons, and not from the clearly stated reason is 100% politics.
You know nothing about this man, or me, yet you besmirch his character and make huge presumptions about him and me to justify what is a political viewpoint.
This man is hardly the first person to end their life over severe illness or chronic pain and debilitation.
Your claims are based on nothing, and attacking this man’s reputation after his death is repugnant.
Bottom line is, who knows?
That is sad to hear. I have been to texas roadhouses all over the US and each and every one is always packed, so much so that I never even attempt to eat at one during normal eating hours. Never had a bad meal
Wow maybe people in Texas are weaker than I thought. I’ve had pulsatile tinnitus in which you hear your own heartbeat until you die and I’ve been fine for 10 years with it I guess there’s lesser men down there
You’re a disgusting human being. I wish we had a block feature on FR. Wow.
Maybe you couldn't hear the fact that you already posted it the first time:)
What my family likes about the Roadhouse is it’s consistency. Never had a bad meal there. Great price and a young, friendly staff.
R.I.P.
Lol I don’t have tinnitus. One positive with your condition is you can take your heart rate all day long on your own.
