My fuel is my deep hatred for liberals.
Most people who suffer from tinnitus don't realize just how severe it can be. Mine is moderate and constant. It interferes some with hearing and sleeping, but at night it can be as loud as being in the woods after a cicada hatch. I've known a few people with severe tinnitus and they had to take ambien to sleep, and had significant problems with group conversations. My audiologist talked to me about tinnitus, depression and suicide, saying it was a serious issue with severe cases. Again, mine is just moderate, and not that hard to live with most of the time. But it can't be ignored.
BTT
I was a big fan for years but Texas roadhouse has really been slipping lately. Low quality ingredients and ridiculous wait times in my area. Chili’s is running rings around them at similar price points and without the 30 minute wait.
My give or take 60 year ‘battle’ with tinnitus has me sometimes thinking it is so loud that the person next to me can hear the ringing etc.
I can usually ‘white it out’ and when alone, ALWAYS have some sort of background music going.
OTOH there are times when I do not even think about it and have to ‘remind’ myself that there is a whole lot of ringing going on.
Yes, it is discomforting but I do not believe I have EVER had the urge to ‘end it all’ because of it...
It will still classified as a China Virus Death.
I’m sure it will be.........more money to be had by somebody.....
Isn't it amazing how so many people know more about Kent's suffering, health and mental state than his own family... RIP.
That reminds me of a famous Yogi Berra quote, “ Nobody goes there anymore; it’s too busy.”
Me too, LOL!
I do like their pork chops.
My Tinnitus so so bad and getting worse (not due to COVID) that it is embarrassing to me. I cannot hear people talk when I am right next to them and my voice is so loud that everyone can hear it.
I wish there was a cure or a way to lower the ringing sound.
*Tinnitus Ping
Exactly. Who the hell thinks otherwise? Always hiding The Truth!
CCP Lockdowns KILL!
I do feel for those with more severe cases. Mine is frustrating, but I know it could be much much worse.
I feel sorry for people who live in States that have strict lockdowns. Except for doing telephone visits with my shrink, instead of office visits, twice a year, we really have not been deprived of any of our usual activities. We had to get carryout instead of eat-in, for a while, but that was no big deal. But then, we’re not the most outgoing couple around.
I’m in Florida, and I very much agree. I get more depressed going out and seeing all the sheep still wearing masks, >50% of which are worn inappropriately providing ZERO protection.
Jessica Starr?
I always filled up on the free peanuts. But they made a good sirloin.
Yes that sounds cirrect
Just like any restaurant, go with what their speciality is. For example, I would not go to a seafood restaurant and order a steak! And if I did not like seafood, I would not go to a seafood restaurant in the first place!
...tinnitus.”

I have tinnitus; have had it since I was in the military. As a teenager and young adult the music I listened to was never loud and I figure tinnitus kicked in when I was working on the Flight-line even though I wore the hearing protectors.
Didn’t even realize I was experiencing it, even with my gradual loss of hearing. Each time my hearing was tested they would ask about ‘ringing,’ in my ears. I didn’t experience the ‘ringing,’ and couldn’t figure out what the question really meant at the time.
What I heard and hear are what I described as ‘crickets.’ One day I found a video with a sound and pointed it out to my beloved husband as it was what I heard. His reply? “Hell, those are crickets. That’s the sound LOCUSTs make.” Rain and fireplace crackling affects my hearing, as well. If I have a video with an ‘off’ sounding Rain or Fire Crackling sound it will immediately send me right up the wall.
Well, that was an eye opener. LOL I have constant white noise or a video going all time in my Quiet Room. Almost anything is better than the Locust Sound.
I have noticed that when I wear my CPAC to sleep that I fall asleep immediately. It’s like the soft purr of my CPAC cancels out the Locust sound.
I can see where the tinnitus can literally drive folks who experience Tinnitus to suicide. With the lack of sleep because of tinnitus a person can lose reasoning. It’s one of those things that folks who do not have tinnitus simply cannot figure out.
“That’s news to me re: tinnitus leading to suicide. “

Sleep Deprivation: It’s called Sleep Deprivation.
You apparently don’t have it that loud where it can literally keep you from falling asleep.
When one falls asleep out of sheer exhaustion, they will wake up when the brain or body decides it’s had enough sleep. HOWEVER, that is usually at the very lowest level of sleep.
If you suffer this over years, it will drive your reasoning out the freaking window.
Sorry to sound so blunt.
