So, the feds, if they cared, could pass any ‘doubt’ to the FFL holder for him to use to deny.

Juvenile record needs to be considered on a 4473 check on people barely over age 18.

At age 18, juvenile record, including expunged, must be DETERMINATIVE.

Then each year, it can be treated as less determinative.

Then at age 25, it can be discounted except for felonies.

The problem with this of course is that the record checkers are crooks.

Therefore the only answer is more people trained and carrying. That’s where the state, the town and the store let the public down.

I believe an FFL dealer in GA(maybe) denied purchase or shooting range access to some mooslime, due to the owner’s appraisal of the customer’s potential unsafety.

As for background checks, he never committed a crime. He had (to the best of knowledge) no diagnoses that would have triggered a ‘red flag.’ Don't give the government more power to arrest people or deny firearm sales.
