My 3.5 yr old granddaughter is just 'mastering' basic skills, considered above average by her Pediatrician. Lacks mastering major verbal skills of indoor/out door levels, knows what foods she likes and dislikes, just learning to follow orders. About the same level my 3 boys were at same age. They don't even know what gender even means. Has boy cousins who are older. She prefers toys that require her to put them together, stack them up. Wears dresses, skirts, shorts, pants, equally well, what ever her mother or dad (normal genders) dresses her in appropriate for the activity or day. She likes dresses/skirts best as she is potty trained, knows to wash hands, brush teeth, get the stool to reach the sink, replace it. Pick ups toys when told. Only child. I'm her usual occasional babysitter. No government pre school.
