On Tuesday night, as the decade flipped into the twenties, people around the world celebrated, marking the occasion with toasts, sparklers, fireworks—and, unfortunately, guns fired into the air. One such gun propelled a bullet into the sky that came down in a cul de sac in northwest Houston’s Laurel Oaks neighborhood, where Philippa Ashford was standing at the end of her son’s driveway. The bullet struck Ashford on its way down, and the 61-year-old psychiatric nurse was killed moments after impact.
Oh she's stupid. Stupid enough to think her position on stopping a swinging knife attack is plausible. And stupid enough to think there are others stupid enough to believe her. That's pretty stupid.

It isn’t a knife fight if only one side has a knife.

The unarmed girl could have been stabbed in a single second.

Cops should just De Police, arrive late after driving slowly and stopping for all pedestrians, then wait in the car for the "dispute" to finish and the onlookers to disperse, then check to see who's dead and if anyone wants to squeal.
Then call the coroner and paramedics and go back to the car and wait for them while filling out the report.
