That is why it wouldn’t appear to be a hit, just an accident. It comes under the heading of “plausible deniability”, which means there would be no evidence that it was anything other than “bad luck”.

In this case, Kerry did something unforgivable, that didn’t just compromise past actions, but perhaps even current ones, which could result in Israeli agents being captured, tortured and killed.
