Chief comes from Latin: caput via old French (chef). Does it still get banned?

So Elizabeth Warren is now banned in Washington State?

The Seattle Seahawks logo has a design in the style of Northwest Native American art. Will it have to change? And, as others have pointed out, many place names in the state - including Seattle and Tacoma and Spokane - have a Native origin.
They might have to begin picking insect names as mascots. Like the Hometown Mosquitoes. Or the Victorville Roaches. Or the Towny Spiders. Or the Hawthorne Ticks.
Or next, maybe they'll have to start using plant names. Like the Dalton Turnips. Or the Clarksville Peas. Or the Sutton Succotash. Or the Scottsdale Artichokes.
Oh wait. There already is a mascot for the Scottsdale Community College Artichokes. Somehow having the word "chokes" in the name doesn't instill a lot of confidence in the team's abilities to win.
Maybe they should change their name to the Scottsdale Asparagus.
They’re not “native Americans”.
Umquah Bank - Is that an Indian name?
Washington Huskies is offensive to fat people but that’s allowed.
Does this only apply to public entities, or to everyone? If the latter, it is unconstitutional. But even if it only applies to public entities, it would put pressure on the Seahawks to change their logo, which has a Native American design.
Gaan naai jouself Inslee.
Looks like Seattle will need to change its name...
“The bill, which passed through the Senate by a vote of 40-6 and passed in the House with a vote of 90-8...”
He’s got plenty of help and throw in the democrat scum who voted for them.
Gotta keep branding safe for whitey.
Some political parties never change...

I don’t think that is going to work for them. The logos and history of the name are clearly tied to the Native American populations for whom much of the region was named.
Is this something the feather Indians are demanding?
I doubt it.
