Texas and California have electrical supply problems without having millions of electric cars whizzing about.
Who do you think is going to have their electricity rationed first, the riot-prone urban centers or the law-abiding rural areas?
“people who are driving electric cars are not affected by the hacker-forced shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline.”
Not until they get 10 miles away and run out of juice.
Oil industry working hand in glove with auto makers to bring us the EVs we do not want.
Yes, they ARE that stupid.
I swear, history will look back on these years as the “Era of The Dumb B.”
She needs to be fired.
This government’s arrogance and corruption has to be shut down. The entire thing needs to be ripped out. I can’t see how voting will achieve this. There is going to have to be more.
That is not what I meant. The people who shut this down will continue to underestimate what is happening.
Is she THAT STUPID?
It doesn’t affect just your commute or Sunday drive you MORON!
“...a reporter asked. “Obviously, we have the acute issues with the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack. But looking more holistically in a macro view, how does this speed up the efforts at DOE to move in more of a renewable direction since this is going to have an impact on people at the pump?”
If the above was not a planted question I’ll dine on roast fedora this evening.
She said it with full white liberal ‘elite’ smugness... The cheapest new Tesla will set a person back 40K...
We used to call her Grandmole, but I see she finely got that huge growth hacked off her face.
If we all had horses we’d be up to our necks in government “solutions”.
IF wishes were horses...beggars would ride.
Would illegals steal an electric car?
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Colonial Pipeline Crisis: If You Drove an Electric Car, ‘This Would Not Be Affecting You’
I can only assume that the cumulative IQ of this administration has yet to reach 100.
What an idiot
These fools who are flushing the country down the toilet are some of the most fvkin stupid people I have ever known of. This sh*t for brains was serious and smiling about it.
Good point. Any entity that needs to keep the power going has a diesel generator. Locally all of the Publix stores, Big box home improvement stores, hospitals, telephone switch buildings and sewer lift stations have diesel generators, NOT natural gas. After hurricanes around here the gas is often shut off due to line breaks.
Electric cars are pretty good for a few reason, and they do have some issues.
On the good side, they are so simple. No transmissions with all the gears, that typically have issues after a 100K miles. No big Engine, with a rotting exhaust system, leaking water pump, fan belts, leaking antifreeze, fouled plugs, broken timing belts, the list goes on and on. An electric motor is so simple.
Down side, charge time on long trips. Solution to that, is the BMWi3, with a two gallon tank and small gas powered generator, that’s almost never used.
After getting one, I’m never going back. It costs about a buck to go fifty miles, and it goes zero to sixty in 6 seconds. And I mocked these things a few years ago.
