“Benefits. Post 9/11 GI bill (up to $100k for college) and lifetime health care in particular.”
Lifetime health care? Since when? I served six years in the Airforce back in the 1970’s and when I got home I went to the VA hospital once.
After that I wass told that congress decided to kick the health care stool right out beneath the feet of Non-Combat,Non Injured veterans. So millions of us were screwed.
As far as I know that law has Not been changed. Though now with all of the Combat Injured vets there are that need VA services I’d feel rather embarrassed to use those services now. Even though I’m further along in age.
In my experience, the Air Force handed out medals often, even back in the 70s, when I was stationed at both Hahn and Spangdahlem. 8+ years in the Army, got me two medals, lol. Never had a chance to wear my uniform with the second medal, an MSM. Such is life.
Yeah, I remember it.
Rather fondly, actually.
That’s like something from a vanished world.
Thank you.
“Had enough yet?”

I use my FB page as a way to post much of what I want to have folks to see. Below are the comments I placed in along with the link to the article:
“What an act of arrogance this perverse human displays by being in this advert, either as a model for hire or an Active member of the Air Force.
I am old enough to remember when it was shouted by the Feminists/Liberals that what happens in the privacy of a bedroom is no one’s business.
Of course, those who understood history at the time knew this was a bold-faced lie of a statement put out to dull the senses of the simple-minded citizens.
And here we are, today. Mind you, this is still the not end game of what the perverse have in mind. Contemplate on that, a bit, those of who have children wanting to lay their lives on the line in any of the militaries.”
I enjoy when FB tells me I’ve omitted information or am putting something in out of context. Tells me it’s truth and they really don’t like what I’ve posted.
Being a homo is nothing to be proud of. It is a perversion.
What the heck is a ‘tattoo sleeve’?
Excellent comments, thank you for sharing them.
Hmmmm....
“They took the goo from the guys
Then they tattooed some eyes
With a touch of Old Gary’s Goo....”
My Dad flew in the Army Air Corps, then in the Air Force thru Vietnam. I did 2 1/2 decades myself. I feel like puking.
Yep. It’s a sad state of affairs.
lolz
Almost everyone gets one on their first transfer after they go career status.
A tattoo that covers most or all of an arm.
It is a vanished world.
Brings to mind the opening paragraph of Barbara Tuchman’s “Guns of August”.
Though not nearly as eloquent.
Either way, they look like these:
I hate them on young Airmen.
Oh and Airwomen too.
“...on history’s clock it was sunset, and the sun of the old world was setting in a dying blaze of splendor never to be seen again.”
