I would wager that, given the current mindset we are seeing, many units of the military would suffer an immediate 'lack of unit cohesion', as the term goes. Said plainly, they'd be too busy shooting each other up to do much of anything else.

Of all the services, I'd say the Marines would probably be the best bet to be on the right side. Mostly. I'm saying this as an ex-sailor. :-)

In my head I immediately composed his letter of reprimand and relief from command. From there my immediate concern would be to insure that his subordinate officers had not been “tainted by the fruit of his poisonous tree.”

From there, the Command Sergeant Major would be instructed to thoroughly examine the unit NCO chain of command, from highest ranking to lowest. Any enlisted personnel ‘found to be wanting’ should be counseled in the strongest possible terms then reassigned. But if they were found to also hold racist beliefs, then they would be dismissed from the ranks.
