The DA dropped the charges against Tabb (black) and a juvenile (black), who both were involved in the dispute and both were illegally in possession of guns because the DA wanted to purportedly “wanted to focus on the murder case.”

Why were the US Marshalls involved? Happens in Texas, the prep was arrested in Texas...... MMMMM? What are we not being told?

A lot of people don’t realize that they actually get involved in all kinds of fugitive cases, even those that are only ‘state’ cases.
Also - and I’m not sure if this happened in this particular case - fugitive task forces made up entirely of state and local LEOs will operate with the imprimatur of ‘The US Marshals’ to arrest some criminals. Essentially, the Feds give grants to counties/states to help with their fugitive arrests and those funds create these modern-day ‘posses.’
So, it could have been a US Marshal ‘task force’ or it could have been actual Marshals. It’s tough to say for certain.
As if any of them really are aspiring rap artists. Their mothers may say so.
Shouldn't bring this up but the late great singer and drummer Buddy Miles ended up getting together a group of fellow incarcerated musicians and set up the California Raisins. Had highly successful TV ad campaigns and their own music albums. He was in prison for grand theft auto. Like a real Blues Brothers story.
Later on Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood played "Them Changes" as a tribute to him on the album Live From Madison Square Garden. Miles was in the hospital dying from kidney failure and the staff set him up to listen live and said he smiled hearing it.
I saw his early great band The Buddy Miles Express and we all can see him in videos of the Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsies in which he sang and played drums.
